This place is THE EXPERIENCE. The staff are very friendly, the room was very clean. The breakfast was amazing.

The property is overall very nicely located and easy to travel from. It was clean and the bathroom was very spacious. However the service left a LOT to be desired😖! Here are a couple of examples: once when asked the doorman to call us a cab he just pointed to the taxi driving by and said that you will find it there! How unprofessional!! Also we were leaving early for a trip so I asked them to provide some croissants or something to the room ( mind you this is a hotel that does full breakfast) and they refused since it was about 10 minutes before 7 — there usual time😟. In summary facilities and location good customer service bad!

Check in was extremely smooth and fast, the room was amazing! We walked in and were immediately impressed with our room! It was clean and extremely quiet, directions for how to cast from our phone to the TVs was super simple. The shower/ water pressure were great and they have shampoo and conditioner that smelt great. There was a little fridge, kettle, iron/ ironing board which was helpful. Breakfast was great with a lot of options and good fresh foods as well. Staff was quick, efficient and very nice/helpful. Checkout was also just as quick. Wish we would have had more than one night so we could have checked out the roof bar but based on the rest of the hotel I would venture to bet it’s just as good! If I ever come back to Madrid I will absolutely be booking here again!

Just arrived back home after three wonderful nights at the RIU Plaza Madrid. Check in was fast, efficient and very friendly. We were shown how to use the lifts using our room key - and thought it a very clever system. Our room was lovely, very clean and nice amenities. The hairdryer wasn’t working. I reported it at the front desk and we went out. A dryer had been delivered by the time we got back. On day three, I washed my hair, went to get the hairdryer and it had gone! Reported it ‘missing’ and had to go out with wet hair. A new one was delivered many hours later. Not ideal. That said, it was the only niggle we had. The rooftop bar was fantastic. Service was great and the food offering tasty and reasonable in price. The views were spectacular and we spent several hours being entertained by people taking their ‘Insta’ selfies! The pool was lovely; never crowded with helpful staff on hand for umbrellas, towels and cold drinks. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Would highly recommend this hotel; location perfect for shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
