Staying at Aque Cave was magical. We stayed in the junior suite which was very spacious and well optioned with amenities. The location was amazing in the heart of the Sassi close to all the sights and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Most of all the team were fantastic. The communication with Paola was always efficient and friendly and Francesco who was on site was super helpful and always willing to assist. Rosie and Valerie greeted us each morning with a lovely smile and a cuppa 😁.

Paola and her team were amazing! We felt so well taken care of from the moment we arrived. They had tons of great recommendations for drinks and restaurants. Her brother introduced us to Caffè Leccese, an almond-flavored iced coffee, which quickly became our new obsession. The breakfast buffet was a definite highlight, we looked forward to it every morning... it was so fresh and just what we needed to start the day. We also loved the daily visits from the friendly local cat, Willow, she's adorable, and it was nice to see her every time we came back. The space itself is gorgeous and has the perfect cave vibe...so unique and cozy, yet incredibly clean. We were in town for a wedding, and our stay at Aque Cave made discovering the charm of Matera even more special.

"Unique experience"

We had a great, very unique experience. Impressive rooms and very comfortable.

There was no hot water in the bath tab, so we couldn’t use it. Only the shower had hot water. Also the location is difficult to reach with the luggage and we were not given assistance during the check in.

Alles was perfect. Super lieve medewerkers die hun vak verstaan.

Locatie was centraal. Ruim, schoon, verrassend, sfeervol, compleet, wat je maar kan wensen.
