Homewood Suites By Hilton Chula Vista Eastlake

Our company had to fly in nearly 80 garbage truck drivers and mechanics to support the Chula Vista community over Christmas and New Years. The staff was incredibly helpful making the drivers feel at home for over a month during the holidays. The staff was incredibly responsive and always happy to help support me and the drivers during quite a stressful time. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Overall, we had a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful; the lobby is stunning. I don’t know what the reviewer who called the hotel “unsafe”is talking about - it’s in an extremely safe and new residential area, and all doors including the ones to the fitness center and laundry room are locked and can only be opened by your room key. We traveled here as a family with our daughter and felt very safe and welcomed.

Extremely noisy, slamming doors all hours of day (next to housekeeping), outlet in bathroom didnt work, tested fire alarm in room 2 days in a row at 10 AM with no warning or announcement. I thought the hotel was on fire. Website advertised smart TV with Netflix- they did not have. Bed made with the bedskirt used as the blanket with no blanket in room at all. Witnessed staff checking in people without facemasks despite postings to the contrary. The refrigerator and sink smelled bad and there was only 1 spoon in the full kitchen. Crumbs and such found on carpet and in bed.

I stayed there recently for a one night Saturday night stay and it was fantastic from beginning to end... Check In: My reservation was booked through the Hilton website. The front desk attendant was so friendly she provided us 2 bottles of water at check in. She explained to us the facilities and the complimentary breakfast for the next morning. I received a text message later welcoming me again and to text back if I needed anything. Lastly, the housekeeping supervisor assigned to our room stopped by and introduced herself to us. She told us not to hesitate to reach out if we need anything. Awesome. Facilities and room: We had a two queen room and the room was spotless. The TVs worked well and all the furniture and decor was contemporary and appeared brand new. The bathroom was spacious, clean and had strong water pressure and no shortage of hot water. This is very important to me. lol Miscellaneous: The complimentary had some hot dishes of eggs, breakfast meats and plenty of bagels, pastries, fruits, juice etc. They had a staff of 3 attending to everyone and they did great. Don't forget to tip! The lobby was spacious and the business area section had plenty of table space if you need go spread out and get some work done. There was no charge for parking which we totally appreciated as well. Next time I'm in Chula Vista visiting my buddy and his fam, I will definitely stay at Homewood Suites again if need be. If you care about having housekeeping on request this is not the place for you. The staff acts like you are asking way too much just to have your room cleaned and supplies replenished. You have to ask for the advertised gold and diamond check in bonus as it will not automatically be offered to you. Almost 3 weeks and only one cleaning is ridiculous. They advertise smart tvs, but they do not have them if you like netflix. You have to compete with people from the street, not paying guests, to use the laundry room and gym as management does not care to keep it locked. They advertise evening socials with food and drink nightly, but only offer it one night a week. You still have to pay regular prices to stay here with have off the service and perks. They cannot blame it on Covid since they do not enforce mask wearing and some of the staff doesn’t bother to wear one either. Covid is an excuse to make you pay the same price for less service. People smoke cigarettes and out close to the door so you can’t enjoy free outdoor air. Management is rude and absent.

I was in town for business. The hotel is busy with 2 Hilton brands in one location. It is clean and the area is close to restaurants and shopping.

Que no hicieron la limpieza del cuarto diario aunque yo lo solicite. Olvide el cargador de mi telefono en el cuarto y me dijeron que como no estaba la housekeeper no lo podian checar que cuando llegara me llamaban y nunca lo hicieron

En general todo muy bien todo muy limpio todo muy cómodo todo nuevo el desayuno complementario está bien las instalaciones excelentes rápido checking y rápido checado

I am very thankful to have a place to allow enjoyment of sorts for my family, but the property needs improvement. Shockingly, they’re a new build, too. The building hosts two hotels, each with different standards of cleanliness. Forget about calling the hotel—both times I desperately tried, I ended up in either the Philippines or India. Leadership here ja not the best
