The best decision was to bring all these 90% workers from Philippines! They are perfect. Always smiling (Greek workers never), always kind, grateful, some of them near the sea bar was with good perfume. They are working very hard, but always will help you. Client for them is in the first place! We tried a lot of cocktails 😁I was very happy because I Can drink Hugo Spritz. Also Espresso Martini was perfect (You need more people in the beach bar area to make cocktails from 2 till 5 p.m.). The hotel is new, so it’s wonderful, all things are new, smell is very good. Towels new, without any damages, perfect, all furniture is modern, very good style in the reception and Athena restaurant(we have a la carte breakfast), I liked La Mere plate very much, I bought already for my house. Who created street food area SPECIAL THANKS, sandwiches and Greek salad for me was the best, you must try if you reading this! Spa area perfect, smell is very good in this place, I was spend my time with the girl she done pedicure for me. I liked result very much, if you can please change nail polish to more qualified. The special thanks for food makers, breakfast - lunch and dinner was very good. You can choose from a very large range, I liked to eat all kind of salads, also grilled fish was nice. One evening the chef was standing in the desert area so I asked desert without sugar, he brings from somewhere the best desert with fresh raspberries, it was perfect. A la carte restaurants dinners for us was not possible to try because it was full booked all 3 or 4 restaurants, we were 5 nights 3+2 but it was mission impossible. About 5-6 p.m. every day girls asked if we need more fresh towels in your room. Hotel is beachfront so we were happy because we like to swim in the very much. A lot of comfortable beanbags in the beach. And you will always find a free place near the sea or swimming pools, because they have more space than visitors, this is very important.

What an amazing stay we had. The hotel is so peaceful and relaxing — the perfect place to truly switch off. The food was honestly exceptional and genuinely worth visiting for alone. We loved every single meal, from breakfast to lunch and dinner. Everything was so varied, fresh and clearly made using high quality local ingredients. The pastry chef especially deserves a mention because every dessert and pastry was incredible. Our room was also beautiful and incredibly spacious. We stayed in a swim-up room which looked absolutely stunning, although the weather was a little too cold for us to fully enjoy the pool! One thing that really stood out was the mattress — genuinely the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel in a very long time. As the hotel is still newly opening, there are naturally a few small issues here and there, like slight staffing shortages and occasional generator-related hiccups. But honestly, the overall experience, atmosphere and level of hospitality completely outweigh any minor inconveniences. The à la carte restaurants were also fantastic and definitely worth trying. Overall, such a special stay and we would absolutely return.

Das Personal war extrem freundlich. Die Aussicht auf die Berge und das Meer waren klasse. Die Cocktails in der Rooftopbar, wie auch das Buffet im Hauptrestaurant sind sehr zu empfehlen.

We honestly had the best time at Ella Rocrita and wished we could have stayed longer. The resort is beautiful, modern, and extremely clean, with such a relaxing atmosphere throughout. Every member of staff we met was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made our stay even more special. A special thank you to Kim for getting my nails done at the spa they look amazing!! And also to the lovely spa girls Maria and Konstantina who were both amazing and so kind. Maria at Guest Services was also incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The level of customer service at this resort was exceptional and made us feel truly looked after. The views, facilities, and overall experience were wonderful, and we would definitely love to return in the future.

The only thing we felt could make the experience even better would be a little more nighttime entertainment, such as live singers or evening performances. The resort has such a lovely atmosphere already, so adding more evening entertainment would make it perfect.

We came to Ella Resort for two nights with my fiancée and left already planning our return. From the moment we arrived, everything was effortless. Check-in was warm and quick, and the General Manager personally sent a bottle of champagne to our room to welcome us, which set the tone for the entire stay. The resort itself is genuinely all-inclusive in the best sense. The beach is beautiful, the pools immaculate, and the variety of restaurants and bars meant we never had to think about a thing. Every meal was a highlight. The grounds are spotless, the rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and there is a real sense of care in every detail. The amenities are a real cut above. We even got the chance to play padel on site, which was a lovely surprise, great courts, and easy to book. Between that, the beach, and the pools, there was always something to do without ever needing to leave the resort. What stood out most was the service. Every team member, from housekeeping to the bar staff to management, made us feel like welcome guests rather than room numbers. The GM's gesture was lovely, but honestly, the whole team operates at that level. If you are looking for a relaxed, beautiful, and all-inclusive beach resort in Crete with hospitality that genuinely lives up to the Greek tradition, this is it. We will be back.

Tried to pack the Cretan sunshine into our suitcase, and it must have leaked out somewhere over the Aegean - we got rain and wind instead. The resort was immaculate; the sky less so. Already plotting our return.

We recently stayed at this brand-new luxury hotel, built in a very scenic part of Lasithi. The architecture is modern and impressive, with expansive pools and a beautiful beach just steps away. The dining experience was a highlight; with several on-site restaurants and an incredible buffet offering high-quality variety for every meal, you never truly need to leave the property. The hotel is located near Mochlos, a charming traditional village with some excellent local tavernas. It is a 5-minute drive away, or a scenic 30-minute walk if you’re in the mood for a stroll. The spa is equally impressive, featuring modern treatments, a sauna, a hammam, and even an ice room for a refreshing cold therapy session. Families will also love it here, as there is a fantastic playground and plenty of dedicated spaces for children. The location is perfect for exploring Eastern Crete by car. You can easily reach the major towns of Lasithi—Agios Nikolaos, Sitia, and Ierapetra—within 40 minutes. Additionally, Elounda is just an hour away, perfect for an upscale dinner and a visit to Spinalonga, one of Crete’s most moving historical landmarks. For those interested in antiquity, the Minoan site of Mochlos and the ancient town of Gournia are also very close by. Overall, this hotel is the perfect choice whether you simply want to unwind in a high-end resort that provides everything you could possibly need, or use it as a luxurious base to discover the hidden gems of Eastern Crete. It truly offers the best of both worlds.
