Sonesta ES Suites Carmel Mountain - San Diego

- staff were very attentive and helpful - room had complete amenities--even dishwashing soap and sponge for us to use - hotel is in a quiet area with dining places, shops & cafes within walking distance - breakfast was a small, simple spread although tasty.

- the bedding on my side of the bed seemed to smell rancid... like someone who used body oil lay there the night before I did. my husband's side of the bed, meanwhile, smelled ok - lighting was ambient, could have benefitted from more lighting for packing at night, tho it wasn't really too bad

Property was dirty, a lot of equipment around the property. The room was old and dirty.

Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

Sonesta ES suites are amazing. I always enjoy the bedrooms set aside from the living room room and the personal question which is always a plus when you have a big family.

There was an unfortunate moment with the toilet leaking, but as soon as we shared the issue with the staff at Carmel Mountain, they quickly responded and had maintenance come up to fix it
