Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Cleveland - Independence

Staff was friendly but check-in was confusing. We had to redo the sign in three times. The initial room we were assigned was occupied when we entered it. Elevator smelled smoky. Room was clean. Only one hand towel provided.

Expect spotless rooms with weird upcharges or required requests. Want a coffee pot? Gotta ask housekeeping. Need silverware? There's a charge for that. Add this on to the weirdly thin and worn (but clean!) bedding and you're left with the odd impression of staff that cares and corporate that doesn't

The room was not available until over an hour past check-in time. The floors in the rooms were not clean - our socks/feet became black due to this. The hotel smelled of cigarettes despite being non-smoking. Additionally, we were planning to stay with other members of our family but the hotel cancelled their reservation after 3pm on check in day because they accidentally overbooked. We will not stay here again.

Free breakfast was misleading. Muffins no lids for coffe heard a guy say its been weeks. My room the above light wasnt working didnt know that until Saturday morning had to use my flashlite to see. Went to desk and were very nice but wasn't sure if maintenance was working on weekend. I was like my daughter is getting married today i need to do her hair and makeup. Well thank god the guy showed up and fixt it. Would i stay there again no. But again the front desk workers were awesome.

The continental breakfast could be better.

I didn’t get to the hotel until 2 am after a long drive. They gave my room away.

Front desk service was not great, poor customer service and didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. Was also charged over $100 more than what was listed online. The room itself provided the absolute bare minimum. Bed sheets and floor were dirty. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
