Clean quiet nice

Clean, comfortable bed, good location

The check in was friendly and easy. The rooms were immaculately clean. Some nice touches like fresh flowers in the room. Enjoyed the patio.

Room was quiet, clean with fridge, microwave, safebox and solid WiFi. Parking easy and always avail.

Not much to say. No facilities such restaurant, breakfast, gym etc but that was clear to start with.

This non-chain hotel met my needs quite adequately during a 9-night stay in Palo Alto, and cost considerably less than a typical mid-priced chain hotel such as a Hampton Inn or a Fairfield by Marriott. About the only thing one of those would have offered that would have been much different would have been a standard free breakfast spread that I honestly have no interest in. (Steam-table reconstituted scrambled eggs, Wonder Bread toast, unripe fruit, a waffle-making machine, bad coffee... Honestly, who needs all that?) I was much better off self-catering my own breakfasts, and the in-room microwave and refrigerator were all I needed for that. (The tiny freezer compartment in the refrigerator didn't work, but I didn't really need it.) The motel is close to a Trader Joe's, a Whole Foods, and a huge Safeway. There is nothing fancy about this place, but the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was adequate (and mine had a bathtub, which I like and which can be hard to find these days). The room was redone recently enough that it didn't feel beat-up or dumpy. (I never completely figured out how to use the heating and ventilation control panel, but managed to get it to work well enough.) The room was clean when I checked in, and room cleaning was adequate when I requested it. (The only minor miss, as far as I'm concerned, was that they never restocked the paper and plastic cups after I depleted the original supply. I'm quite sure I could have requested more, but I just didn't bother.) Parking was convenient and sufficient, and they didn't annoy the hell out of me by charging for it. The people at the front desk were friendly and intelligent. I would definitely stay here again, and probably will.
