Saltair Inn Waterfront B&B

Kristy makes incredible breakfasts! And engages everyone to talk, learn about the area, and feel comfortable—an incredible experience. The inn is gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is perfect! And the Bar of Bar Harbor is so close to the ocean front of the Inn!

The Saltair is a most wonderful place. The home is so comfortable and Matt and Kristi are great hosts. Kristi makes a delicious breakfast. The backyard overlooking the ocean is relaxing with a fire pit and comfy Adirondack chairs in which to stargaze at night. The location can’t be beat as Arcadia is a five minute drive, downtown Bar Harbor is three blocks away and the famous sandbar is a walk along the beach to reach. We loved our stay at The Saltair and would love to return some day.

Absolutely Fabulous time at Saltair Inn. It is in the perfect location at Bar Harbor with breathtaking views of the Bay. Matt and Kristie are simply wonderful and gracious hosts. The Inn is warm and comfortable all of the amenities that you could need are at your fingertips. The gourmet breakfasts that are served are genuinely delicious and come from the heart ❤️. Don’t hesitate to stay you will not be disappointed. We met the best folks there during their visit to Bar Harbor and the Saltair Inn they were all interesting and fun people with shared experiences . Thank You just Book your stay it’ll be great.

Beautiful house! Updated and comfortable bedroom and bathroom right in the heart of Bay Harbor. Easy access to everything! You truly can’t go wrong staying here. My only regret is planning things too early and missing out on their amazing breakfasts!

The most perfect stay! We stayed at Saltair Inn for 5 nights as an extra-long Labor Day weekend. The location is perfect, less than a 10 minute walk to Main Street (and more importantly - CJ's ice cream). Also has a parking area for guests which is great. We were in the Sedgwick Room which was cozy but perfect, and a great value. Waking up every day to homemade breakfast by Matt and Kristi was definitely a highlight, as were their amazing Bar Harbour/Acadia recommendations. But the cherry on top was the beach behind the inn, that made the perfect setting for us to get engaged!!! Saltair Inn was a more than perfect stay, and now holds a very special place in our hearts! During our summer trip to Maine, we were mostly based in Portland, but are so glad we planned for two days and one night in Bar Harbor. Saltair Inn was an incredibly perfect landing spot during our short time there, and we loved all it had to offer. It’s steps away from downtown’s shops and restaurants, but set back enough to enjoy some peace and quiet, and the water views are spectacular. Our room was lovely and had everything we could ever want! Our one morning at the B&B featured a DELICIOUS breakfast which we enjoyed on the back patio overlooking the bay - I can still taste the blueberry pancakes! Matt and Kristi were gracious hosts and we really enjoyed our conversation with them later that morning when they shared funny stories and provided us helpful sightseeing tips for our drive back to Portland. When (not if!) we go back to Bar Harbor, we will definitely stay at Saltair Inn again. This B&B is not pretentious- it’s comfortable, welcoming, and the ideal place to call home while vacationing in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Matt and Kristi. This was our first trip to Maine and we are so glad we chose to stay at the Saltair Inn! Matt and Kristi were terrific hosts, they took the time to speak to everyone, we're so welcoming and offered so many great tips to help make our trip fantastic! The breakfast were so delicious, unique, 5 star for sure! Views and location were perfect, they have thought of every detail to make your stay memorable.
