Saltair Inn Waterfront B&B

The Saltair Inn is truly an amazing find, located with a beautiful view of Bar Island and waters beyond, and a short walk to the center of town. My husband & I stayed in the 1st floor Master Suite with views of the water, a large sitting area and a very large bathroom - all impecably kept. Homemade breakfast everyday coutesy of the innkeepers, Kristi & Matt was something to look forward to. They know the area well and were able to steer us in the right direction to take in a few of the sites during our visit. Lunch on the water at Stewman's and dinner at Galyns and the Side Street Cafe didn't disappoint. But for us, the inn was a well needed rest and relaxation time. We are so thankful for Kristi & Matt's hospitality and hope to make it back one day. Highly recommend this "diamond"!

First time bed and breakfast stay and it was amazing! Christi and Matt were so welcoming and had some recommendations to give us which was very helpful. The view is absolutely beautiful! Our room was perfect - had a comfy king bed with an updated bathroom, including an amazing shower. Multiple options for breakfast that Chrisi whips up and it was delish! Will definitely be back!!

Our stay at the Saltair Inn completely exceeded our expectations. The Inn is beautiful with the most amazing view of the ocean. The hosts are gracious and the breakfast gourmet. We wish we had found this Inn at Bar Harbor sooner! We would not change a thing!

This was the first time my fiancè and I went to Bar Harbor, and staying here was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The inn itself is beautiful, and it has a wonderful view of the water and the sand bar. We got engaged in Acadia National Park during our stay, and Matt and Kristi made sure that our stay was even more special after finding out! They were incredibly accommodating hosts and we felt so welcome while staying there. Definitely recommend, and it will be our first choice to stay at the next time we make our way up to Bar Harbor!

The Saltair Inn was a wonderful place to stay. The view of the water was beautiful. The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were awesome. But the best part was the hosts. Kristi and Matt took time to get to know us and their tips and recommendations made our trip to Bar Harbor more than memorable.

This was our third stay with Kristi and Matt. They are the ultimate hosts, making sure their guests feel at home and filling them in on local activities, dining and shopping. Kristi is an accomplished cook, serving up a great hot breakfast every morning. The Saltair is in a prime walkable location, and is kept in excellent condition. We can’t recommend it enough!

Great place to stay in Bar Harbor. Location made all destinations within walking distance. Room, view, breakfast and host made it a wonderful experience.

We had the absolute best time at this Saltair Inn! From the moment we arrived, Matt and Kristi made us feel like longtime friends coming home. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable—every little detail was thoughtful and welcoming. The view... STUNNING.. Kristi’s breakfasts? Let’s just say we’re still dreaming about them. Each morning was a new delicious surprise—beautifully prepared and so satisfying. And just when we thought things couldn’t get better… the delicious afternoon cookies appeared!  They also gave us fantastic recommendations for exploring Bar Harbor and making the absolute most of our time in Acadia National Park.  The whole atmosphere was cozy, relaxed, and full of character. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a warm hug with a side of fresh-baked joy, look no further. We can’t wait to come back!

Breakfast was great. Ambience very nice. Room very comfortable and quiet.

Beautiful home, comfortable and well appointed rooms, great amenities, perfect location, delicious breakfasts, and wonderful hosts. Accommodated allergies nicely. Great backyard for sitting, enjoying the water view, and even walking to Bar Island on a sandbar that magically appears (and disappears) twice a day. Thank you Kristi and Matt. Many many stars.
