"Best pool and pool staff in Santo Domingo"

The Jaragua is a good hotel. Great room options and good food. But the best part of the hotel is the swimming pool. Specially the staff. Cristian, Emil, Castro, Pablo and Joaquin. They are fast, friendly and always looking out for the guests comfort. I come for a few days a year. And can’t wait to return. Mil gracias señores.

"Terrible customer service"

They argued about the price of a dish, literally claiming that they misunderstood. They didn’t. It was specific. The bartender repeated exactly what I asked for. Then in the end they insisted on charging for a more expensive (“similar”) dish. Instead of admitting their mistake, they kept trying to justify it.

The pool area is nice and well kept. The hotel staff is very polite and professional.

The casino is dirty and an eyesore. Paper and dishes on the floor. It’s like nobody cares. I had no hot water to shower for two of my days. I was able to shower at the spa one day and another I just took a cold shower. The staff was nice but for this type of hotel, not great.
