Pacific Kalokairi Adults Only

Booked this place without knowing the geography of Tamarindo too well. Tamarindo in a busy little town, and I really enjoyed being a short distance from it at Kalokairi. It’s a short walk from town in the hills. The view of the coast is stunning. The rooms are beautiful, and the staff is extremely kind. Only good things to say for this experience.

What an amazing hotel! We felt like we were staying in a fancy bungalow on our family’s property. The family who own and run this business truly put their hearts and souls into making the space beautiful, clean and peaceful. The salt water infinity pool is perfect. There were days where we were the only guests who weren’t off on an adventure, so we had the pool (and bar) to ourselves. The food and drinks were excellent. Quality that you would get at a 5 star resort or restaurant. The (free/included) shuttle goes down to Tamarindo 4 times a day- 10AM, 3PM, 6PM and 9PM. If you want to go to town at different times , the hotel calls a taxi for you. The taxi is a short 5-10 min drive, and costs ~$12USD. Highlights: - service/staff; kind humans making sure you have everything you need - Charlie/Charley (sp?) , the family/ resort dog , who is such a good boy - Location- close to town (2kms), but in the jungle. This place is a true serene escape. Very peaceful and the owners were incredibly kind and helpful.

My wife and I enjoy traveling and staying at places that are clean, scenic, and safe. This place exceeded our expectations. We stayed for a total of 4 nights. Virginia is very responsive through WhatsApp and answered our questions prior to and during our stay. She is kind and very friendly. We didn’t rent a car so we depended on the hotel shuttle to get to the city. If the times do not align with your plan for the day Virginia/her family can set up taxis to pick you up from a specific location to the hotel or vice versa. Which brings me to my only complaint - we were told by the hotel that it was $10 flat rate to the drop off point in the city. However there were two times where we were overcharged by the taxi driver. The rate has nothing to do with the stay itself/the hotel, but it was frustrating that there seemed to be a miscommunication between the taxi drivers and the hotel, which resulted in inaccurate information being conveyed to us. It wasn’t about the money, but rather the fact that we were thrown off about the cost. Otherwise, fantastic hotel and incredible service. Would highly recommend!

Excellent service, superb location away from the city noise with an excellent view...

The first word that comes to mind is exemplary. Virginia, and her family along with Marco provided the most excellent first experience in Costa Rica. From the moment I touched down till sendoff nine days later, I felt as if I was a guest in their home. The rooms and the views provided the much needed relaxation along with the amenities on the property(ie: cold plunge/ hot tub) I will always recommend to any friends and family the Pacific Kalokairi when they visit Tamarindo Costa Rica. Thank you Virginia, Marco, and the entire staff for showing me what the Pura Vida life meant. God bless you all and praying for many blessings to you and your families!

The owners are wonderful and always available to make sure you’re comfortable. They get to understand the nuances of each guest, truly wanting you to have a memorable and beautiful stay. The setting is gorgeous, the rooms completely private and the array of things to do outstanding. My partner and I walked into town each morning, which was magical. We cannot wait to return. Everything was great! Pura vida!

Great property and fantastic service.......

The property is uniquely and beautifully designed. The staffs are super helpful and friendly. Wish the roads leading to the property from town center was walkable. More food options at the property would have been even better. Would have liked a hammock at the room balcony. Overall loved my stay and would definitely return again.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. It's also close to Tamarindo, which has the beach and good dining and entertainment options.
