Pacific Kalokairi Adults Only

From Liberia Airport via a transfer arranged by the resort, I arrived at Pacific Kalokairi in dire need of relaxation. I was greeted warmly and shown to my gorgeous suite where I watched an incredible sunset over the ocean…the first of many. Thanks to my gracious hosts I was able to book a 2 hour massage and then spent many peaceful hours at the pool. I enjoyed delicious meals dining by the pool and/or having them delivered to my room. When I was rested and ready to go town a short drive away, they offered a shuttle service at specific times or arranged a taxi if I wanted to go or return at another time. As a family run establishment, they make you feel incredibly welcome like family, including their black lab Charlie! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Absolutely amazing- beautiful surroundings, kind, welcoming staff/owners, extremely clean, tranquility all around- very spa like atmosphere.

Spent last night of honeymoon there- couldn’t of been happier with everything. Only regret was not staying at pacific kalokairi a few more nights. Relaxing modern close to town yet great privacy.

Wonderful experience! My husband and I have been to Tamarindo many times, but this was our first time staying at Pacific Kalokairi. The personal attention we received and overall attentiveness of the staff was truly exceptional. Virginia and Sylvia took excellent care of us and made sure we took advantage of local hidden gems and several lesser-known beaches and attractions. The private bungalows were very nice, beds were comfortable and the view from our room and balcony was stunning. We watched spectacular sunsets from our balcony every evening and enjoyed a daily swim in the infinity pool, which offers a panoramic view of the ocean. Our room was kept immaculate by the cleaning service, and the small fridge and coffee maker provided were welcome accommodations. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent at Pacific Kalokairi and would highly recommend it to other travelers seeking to explore Tamarindo. This retreat offers a quiet, peaceful atmosphere with regular glimpses of monkeys and other wildlife, yet it’s only a few minutes from downtown Tamarindo’s shops, restaurants and beaches. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss on your next trip to Costa Rica.

Our 4 night stay at Pacific Kalokairi was nothing short of exceptional! For the final leg of our Costa Rica trip we stayed at Pacific Kalokairi just outside of Tamarindo. The access road was pretty straightforward compared to other such roads in Costa Rica. The last 100m or so is a steep climb, but totally paved.. no big deal. The property is fully gated so when you arive, hit the buzzer and one of the staff will open the main gate. Parking is a breeze. The grounds here are immaculate. The pool area where breakfast is served is gorgeous. The Infinity pool over looks the town of Tamarindo and the ocean in the distance. The rooms .. wow ! Perfect size for a king suite. Each is its own villa with all of the luxury touches your expect from a high end spot. We booked an ocean view room so the balcony overlooks the pool and had amazing sunsets every night. The staff are really what makes Pacific Kalokairi special. Everyone really cares about the guest experience and treats you like a member of the family. Charlie the resident black lab is such a good boy too! We booked an excursion and a coue of massages through the property .. all seemless I've stayed at hundreds of differt hotels and propertys over the years and Pacific Kalokairi ranks up there will the best of the best. After 4 days we didn't want to leave! When we checked out we took a few extra minutes to say goodbye to everyone .. it just felt so much like home Thank you for an outstanding experiance! We have done trips to Hawaii, Belize, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and other beach locations, and Pacific Kalokairi is bar none, head and shoulders above them all. The accommodations are meticulously cared for, thoughtfully and beautifully designed, and kept to a pristine cleanliness. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a mini fridge in the room which wasn’t mentioned in the listing. The location is perfect offering the most stunning view of the Costa Rican countryside and beach, located close to town but in a tranquil setting outside the hustle and bustle of town. The service is exemplary by the family, characteristic of only the most expensive 5-star resorts. They are there to attend to your every need, going above and beyond at every opportunity. Based on others’ reviews, we rented a large SUV to handle the Costa Rican roads, and did just fine. Definitely recommend an SUV with 4-wheel drive. We already miss the sounds of the monkeys and birds. What are you waiting for, book it! You’re in for a real treat!

Surrounded by nature and it was a very relaxing place to return to after a day off of the property. Beautiful modern architecture. Nice view of the sunset and forest. I would not go to this property without a car to get out during the day for excursions. Shuttle service to tamarindo is included at a couple of different times throughout the day( included in the cost). Friendly and accommodating staff. Friendly family dog Charly (black lab) was lovely to have around. No umbrellas for shade around the pool during the day. Plastic straws used. Bugs in the room and in our bed the first night but they fumigated and sprayed raid which got rid of them.

This was one of the best places we have stayed, just out of the way of town but still so close. The rooms were wonderful and the staff even better. Had awesome ocean views with jungle background. Charley the dog was a love and had some monkeys visit in the trees. Breakfast included was good. Nothing bad to say about this wonderful place.

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to chill and relax. Beyond our expectations

The property was beautiful. Virginia and her family were fantastic! We will definitely go back.
