"A great Ryokan experience!"

One of our best hotels we've stayed in. It was a superb experience. The staff were great & so were the facilities!

They promised a Vegan breakfast on email welk in advance but said it was not possible once we checked in. They need to be a bit more flexible. They should print a leaflet on etiquette while using the public baths for novices- that will help if they want more international guests.

What could we say, this was out of this world, staff, food, location and facilities were amazing. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Was unable to get a reservation for dinner once we had checked in. It would have been nice to have been advised to book in advance, this was the only negative.

"A fantastic experience."

The rooms were very comfortable and so were the beds. Everything was kept very clean. The meals were also excellent.

The walk uphill to the property is hard if you are with elderly people or those with mobility issues.

After traveling 3 hours from Tokyo, our family was denied access to our room because apparently the hotel has a policy of not allowing anyone below the age of 12 and my youngest daughter is 11.This policy was not clear on booking.com. We asked them to make an exception since she is so close to the age limit, and since we were only staying one night, but they refused to make an exception and we had to spend the night in their sister hotel, which was a much lower tier establishment and not what we were expecting or what we had traveled that long distance for. Overall, very disappointed with the customer service and their refusal to accommodate our family.
