Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre

Nice sized room with comfortable bed and lovely shower. Located close to the key Oxford sights but far enough away from the crowds for some peace and quiet.

A truly pleasant return to this modern and elegant property, quietly located along an Oxford canal and overlooking the Prison Tower. The staff is very professional and welcoming. The room is well-equipped, modern, and air-conditioned. The breakfast buffet is generous and features quality products.

The room had no view and overlooked a narrow internal courtyard. But you can choose, and I recommend an upgrade.

The staff was so helpful, especially the front desk. The location was great. Their rooms were wonderful. We had an excellence day.

Its central location was good.

I have medication that needs to be taken with food every 12 hours and as I didn’t want a 7am breakfast I asked if a couple of croissants could be left outside my room at 7am. I was told that wouldn’t be an issue and even asked if I wanted fruit as well, which I declined, but my croissants didn’t arrive. The bar/restaurant lacks any character, just cafe style tables and chairs.

Staff were very helpful and attentive, including the restaurant staff. Especially appreciate the front desk staff, Joshua, for getting me a taxi quickly to go to the train station. Also, the lady manager who checked if everything was going fine, to have the front desk staff show me the direction from a location map to go to the post office and Broad Street.

Not much choice of food in the dinner menu.
