SkyCity Hotel

Absolutely brilliant. This is an amazing hotel and the staff are fantastic. Our room was locatated right next to the hotel air con, it was a bit loud so they upgraded us. Absolutely wonderful, thank you

We stayed at SkyCity Auckland for two nights. We arrived at 7 am from a long international flight, knowing that our room wouldn’t be ready so early. The front desk staff were very helpful - they checked us in, obtained an email address and cell number to message us when the room was ready so we could go explore the city and they let us into the lobby bathroom so we could change. The concierge was also very helpful and friendly, storing our luggage and giving us directions to the harbour and ferry area. We did get a message that our room was ready in the early afternoon. And our luggage was placed in our room when we got there. The room was spacious and clean. It was very quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Great stay, good location. For the size of the hotel the Terrace breakfast room was small and not a huge selection. Toaster poked over in corner and everyone crowding around to use, could be placed somewhere better. All staff were great.

Shout out to Jed! Prior to our hotel stay my husband and I had to call through a couple times to understand parking arrangements and talk through some other logistics. You know when you get that feeling “ oh this guy just gets Customer Service” - that was the exact feel when talking with Jed. He made it so straightforward and pleasant. Jed you have a very lucky employer.

Great staff at reception. The room was massive, bed very comfortable and decor very nice! Lovely bathroom with a good shower.

Absolutely fantastic as always. Sky City is where I try to stay every time I am in Auckland. Awesome staff, great location - what more do you need?!

When booking this hotel, didn’t realize it was a part of a casino complex. Consequently, lots of foot traffic. Staff was friendly and competent. Area is walkable to lots of restaurants. Regular king room was nice but nothing special; returned a few days later to a premium king-one of the best hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in! Two large rooms (one with a sofa) separated by a sliding door-two huge TV’s.

The venue, staff, beds, linen & cleanliness of Skycity Hotel were absolutely unmatched. A very easy 5 stars and I will absolutely be back, should the opportunity arise. The other guests however left a lot to be desired. We first encountered the family as the father just let the kids use the corridor as a race track. The disgust on my face must have been enough to move them into their room which was situated 5 rooms away (we counted them!) At well past 10pm we could still hear the kids yelling & screaming, clearly jumping on and off the furniture. Even with earplugs in I could still hear the screeching until way past when little kids should be abed. I don't hold the hotel responsible for this incredibly poor piece of parenting but it is a warning for those who are light sleepers that the rooms are not particularly sound safe.
