Great service, very responsive and accommodating staff

I spent 3 days and truly enjoyed myself. The staff is welcoming and friendly. There is a lovely rooftop restaurant, and the building is historically charming.

This property is truly something special. It’s a 100+ year old monastery turned chic hotel, located in the heart of the beautiful CDMX. They’ve done an excellent job honoring and preserving some of the unique and special architecture of the building while also updating the accommodations, outfitted in modern and contemporary design. My room was stunning, with soaring ceilings, huge statement windows, flat screen TVs with sound bars, and even a functioning record player with vinyl records provided. One of the best parts of the whole hotel though was the service. I can’t say thank you enough to Manuel who provided a friendly smile and warm welcome upon arrival and then showed me to my quarters. Félix was also very helpful at the front desk, managing my room details and even printing some papers for me for work. They made this stay feel like a home away from home and will be a major reason I return to this space.

The Umbral is a great hotel in Centro. It is in a former office building so has a lot of fascinating history and architecture. They utilize the idea of dark and light very creatively. The staff are superb! Extraordinarily kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Wonderful experience, beautiful historic property! The staff, including Manuel and Larissa at the front, were so helpful and kind. We’re loved every moment of our stay, including the charming room and beautiful roof top pool and restaurant. The concierge organized excursions for us at our request, and that made the trip a seamless experience. Would highly recommend this property and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Hotel is made of concrete and iron, why do you care? They play pop music all day, and so its sounds really loud in the open corridors, which look like a priosn or hospital although it was offices. So at night and early in the morning if someone closes the incredidblt heavy room room doors, the noise can be heard from the first to sixth floors. Rooms are form over function, just not enough closet or hanging space, we had to leave our cases open on the floor of our,kinda entrance, area. There is NO natural light in the rooms.. It all looks very cool and hipster but it ends up being loud and cold and harsh. Location is Historic District which gets packed after 11am for the whole day. Yes its handy for shopping but for peace and beauty nope, thats Roma Norte etc. Restuarant on roof is great for breakfast and the service terrific. I'm guessing with the plunge pool its a weekend scene with music at night. Staff are very attentive and you can use the chat in Hilton App and thet reply quickly. If you are happy with location, want a boiutique cool hotel and are under 35 , this is for you.

Manuel and Larissa were very helpful

Central location and everything was walkable. Excellent ambiance and hotel quality placed in a historic building - no noise in the inner rooms facing a central patio. Best was the service- Cesar, Manuel, Larisa- but overall Carolina and Patricia at the restaurant.
