Hillsdale B&B in Ambleside

Our bed was comfy. Breakfast was tailored made for us and delicious. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful. They advised us to book somewhere to eat and told us the best restaurants, which we did. Doi Intent (Thai) was exceptional. It was great to have a designated parking place which was just a 2 minute walk from the B&B and secure. Thank you Steve and Caz for making our stay enjoyable.

For the money we paid our room was small with no where to sit and we are used to a king size bed though the double bed was comfy.

Excellent breakfast (and choice of food). Very welcoming and all you could need available in the rooms.

The location withnearby parking was ideal for a two night stopover in the Lake District. The breakfasts had a lot of choice and were excellently cooked. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They warned us to book our evenings meals and gave a good list of nice places It was all very well organised.

Parking in the Lake District and in Ambleside was horrendous. But with the allocated parking we were able to have a day on the bus.

Absolutely lovely, the hosts were so accommodating and helpful with anything you might need. Beautiful room and outstanding breakfast. I can't wait to visit again.

Really nothing not to like! Great location, fantastic hosts from before we even arrived at the property. The attention to every little detail in our rooms was wonderful. Will definitely be returning next year.
