The staff were lovely

The accommodation was very dated. Not very clean. The restaurant had huge cobwebs hanging from the window nearest the kitchen. The breakfast was dismal and was a child size meal, not what you expected when you asked for the full English you get 1 bacon, 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 hash brown, 1/2 a slice of fried bread and a spoon full of beans the scrambled egg on toast was on one slice of toast this is the size of a meal I would expect if I ordered it for my 8 year old daughter

I was wondering what the hotel would be like as there are a lot of negative reviews. The lady on reception was very hospitable. The location was good and we had a lovely view of the sea. The rooms were clean and comfortable and a good size. A nice terrace to sit outside and have drinks. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel needs updating but I appreciate it’s a large property and would cost a great deal. I feel they have done the best they can, considering this. I have stayed in about 8 hotels in Torquay and I will still rate it as one of our most enjoyable stays.

The hotel was very dated and well worn. Needs a lot of TLC and modernisation.

Good clean hotel just need good refit to make the hotel stand out it's beautiful buildings just need money put into it make it one off best hotels In Torquay

Very dirty all over. Bad smell everywhere. ( we had to hold our breath as soon as we enter the hotel ) ,especially around the pool area . Dirty pool Breakfast has to be at 08:30 exactly, you can't be 5 minutes late , we felt like we are at school not a hotel . ( we had to join coaches customers !!!! ) . No one mentioned any thing about that when we made our booking. Lift wasn't working. Never stay there again even for free. I'm asking for a refund, please. Your hotel ruined our holiday this year . Now we are looking to book another holiday for few days to recover .
