GLō Best Western Brooklyn NYC

The building, the staff, and the room itself was nice. Not great, but not bad. My 3rd floor room overlooked noisy 4th avenue, and the windows had very little sound insulation. The traffic noise was bad enough, but directly across 30th street was a NY City Police station and fleet repair facility. This is where the install and test sirens- sometimes as early as 5am. Then I was told there was breakfact. The breakfast room look promising with coffee machines and chafing dishes. But in the morning there was no food to be found. I went to the front desk to inquire, and they handed me a paper bad with airplane like snacks. There's little reason for me to return to this hotel before trying others. Sorry.

The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The room was always clean and very quiet. Overall it was great for me.

Very noisy rooms. When your neighbor closes some shades, closes a door, enters the floor with the elevator...you will wake up.

No sound proofing between rooms Heard every door open and close Heard conversations several doors down Couldn’t sleep Won’t return

Don't fall for the parking trap. If you don't show up early, the garage will be filled. Maybe call ahead. I found street parking a block away, luckily it wasn't too cold and no precipitation was falling. Most importantly, there was no hot water in the morning. I had to take an Ice cold shower. They said to "turn on all the water and it will come" but it never really did. It got slightly less cold enough for me to quickly rinse off most of the soap I was covered in.

No breakfast served but website said differently. They need to reduce their price for a hotel of that quality. I think it is a 2 star but charges a 5 star price. I paid $315 for a night in a room with no couch.

I’ve stayed in a lot of different hotels, especially before COVID. I’ve been apprehensive about staying in hotels since, but have had to stay in some anyway for various reasons. The GLO Best Western was by far the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in before and during COVID! The room was clean and welcoming. The staff was also very friendly and helpful when we needed anything. I can see where parking could be an issue as there are only 8 spaces available and one of those is a handicap space.
