Bellwood Hills Resort & Spa

We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children that booked three rooms at Bellwood. I had initially booked the hotel for the stunning views it offers, unfortunately we stayed during a cyclone. Despite this we had an amazing stay at Bellwood and it has become one of my personal favourite hotels of our stay. The hotel is beautiful with lovely large bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were extremely fun and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is a an extra journey from Kandy but worth the extra travel for its quiet picturesque location. The journey to and from the hotel adds to the experience of visiting Sri Lanka

The view is amazing. You will never have dinner with a better view! The staff is super friendly. I can not thank them enough 🤗. The food was excellent! Jacuzzi on the rooftop with breathtaking views over the valley.

It’s outside of Kandy so it will cost you 2000 rupees and about 30 minutes to go there. I was very happy to stay outside of Kandy as pollution is an issue in the center. The hotel is a bit dated. The gym is small. Overall it’s more like a 7/10 but the view and the value for money make it a 9/10 🤗

Sunday afternoon there was a group of locals who came to party and use the pool. It really disturbed us we couldn't use the pool and the jacuzzi whole day. Priority should be given to house guests.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. Pool and a jacuzzi on top floor. Excellent staff and great restaurant. We had a big room with a balcony. I had a wonderful massage as well. If you want to get away from Kandy to a peaceful and serene place, this is it. 40 min from Kandy, high in the hills.

We stayed for 3 nights here. It was our first destination in Sri Lanka. We were mesmerised by the view it offered from room. The balcony with vast valley view is just perfect. Food : we had Sri Lankan rice and curry here for the first time. And we realise now it was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. Excellent quality and value for money. Staff behaviour: really polite and always eager to help us. We had best time here. Room: it was a spacious , well decorated room with all amenities. The room was big enough and my daughter was running from one end to another. We loved our stay here.

There was nothing much to complaint about Maybe children play area with some slide, toys will add on.
