Blackbeard's Lodge

The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The place was clean... small but clean. We didn't like that the sink was in the bedroom and not in the bathroom, but we could see that there was no room for it in the bathroom. It's a big deal when you have to deal with a colostomy appliance. It's one of the only places on Ocracoke that is pet friendly... we were grateful to be able to stay just one night and bring our dog... thank you!

Good location

Received a phone called asking where we were at 7 pm and was told that reception closes at 8pm even the booking confirmation said 9pm. (It's hard to make a ferry go faster.) Noticed that shower wasn't working I'm the morning, and instead of apology, we were asked if we wanted to take shower anyway.

Cute little place

Love the charm, location and the friendly staff.

Disliked the behavior of couple in the unit next door. Obviously, over served themselves and the man was NOT able to control his temper. The bickering and arguing went on pretty much all night, into the wee hours.
