Blackbeard's Lodge

Very old, cramp lodging and awfully expensive for what you get.

A lot of steps to room. Walls were very thin and very small refrigerator. Room was clean and had nice staff.

We've stayed at Blackbeard's Lodge a couple of times. We love Ocracoke, and you know staying at Blackbeard's Lodge you are staying in an old-school family-style hotel. However the bathroom of our room really needed some maintenance. It wasn't dirty, it just needed for the shower and tub drain to work better.

Loved the place, great folks wolekong the front desk and it was cozy. Walls are a bit thin though, could hear the people next to me snoring.

Blackbeard's is like a bed & breakfast without the breakfast (which is fine, btw). It is an authentic vintage hotel in the heart of Ocracoke, which is exactly what we wanted. I will be visiting again.

A few bugs, but in a beach place, it was understandable.

The room they gave us was never cleaned from previous people. The second room the wave us was occupied. The final room was one of the cheapest rooms available. In the morning i tried to get a price adjustment for the difference in price and they said there was nothing they could do. Said we had to deal with hotels.com.
