Burgh Island Hotel

This has been on our bucket list for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. From initial welcome, through sumptuous meals, attentive service, the best pub in the UK, and those views!!!!

A 2 night stay in the Odeon room around a family wedding. Both days/evenings were very enjoyable and the service for both was excellent. All staff from breakfast, Pilchard Inn and main bar were very, very good. The guys running back and forth across the beach were also super helpful. The décor just keeps on giving as you notice more and more. A great short stay.

A very special location with an hotel full of history and magnificent art deco fixtures and fittings. Service and food of the highest order. Well done!

This unique hotel is well worth a visit for the location, the ambiance and the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff. It was fun to visit a place where we could put on our glad rags and have fun.

We love visiting Burgh Island. The staff are becoming like family and the hotel a home from home. It truly is a most relaxing and beautiful place.

We stayed for 2 nights and whilst the hotel itself is in a magical location and is architecturally stunning, the menu served in both restaurants is the same, and doesn’t change day to day. The grandeur of the 1930s wears thin when you’re trying to clean yourself in a tiny bath, no showers in any rooms I saw. The staff and service was always exemplary and in some cases heart breaking as they knew what was on offer wasn’t up to scratch. If I have another £2k to spend on two nights, I won’t be spending it here.

We stayed 2 nights in the Formby suite. Everything was perfect from the welcome to our departure, we were lucky with the weather. The hotel is a delight and all staff were excellent, thank you Vlad for the informative guided tour.We ate 2 nights in the Ballroom for the Black tie dinner. Had perfect and friendly service from our waiter, think his name was William , food was lovely. Also enjoyed the pianist on the Tuesday night and the Jazz trio on the Wednesday night. Glad we went and would like to think we will return.

Such a magical place. This was my second visit and it doesn’t disappoint. Staff, decor, food and drink and the surroundings are all amazing. Thank you.

Just the most perfect trip full of indulgence and opulence! We shall be back. The children had the most spectacular time especially in their own room and they felt like princesses!

The location is fantastic but completely let down by badly cooked and presented food. The menu was limited and extremely overpriced. The room was small as was the bathroom, and had no proper shower attachment which made showering a challenge. The overall cost for two nights was approximately £1800 so a very disappointing stay.
