Burgh Island Hotel

My wife and I have been going to Burgh Island two to four times a year and always book Tony and B`s Suite.We have just returned from yet again another two nights of sheer bliss.The ambience ,service and attention paid to us and our needs was sublime.It took us back to the early days back in the turn of the century Briliant .Special thanks to Vlad,Lily Martina,Will,Nathan and the team of drivers,not forgetting the Chefs and Charlotte for her excellent cocktails.The engine room is Magda and the girls in house keeping.Will be back in July for more of the same.

Fantastic weekend for Julie’s birthday bash! Service was on point and the food was fab. Great selection of wines and a special shout out to William 🍷

What a place! We got lucky with the weather which made it even more stunning! We stayed in the Tony and B suite which was incredible! I have never felt so relaxed. Food was good - not amazing, but very good. I left my pyjamas at the hotel and they very kindly posted them back to me. Would love to return and would definitely get the same room. The mermaid pool was beautiful. Staff were good, particularly the cleaners. We left Tracey our Agatha Christie jigsaw as she was a star!

Burgh Island is simply an experience not to be missed. The location, staff, accommodation, food, drinks and overall service is memorable. Highly recommended.

As a couple we originally booked in for one night with the black tie dinner in the restaurant as a delayed birthday celebration. When we we arrived we were so impressed by the location and the friendliness and service of the team there that we booked for a second night so we could enjoy everything without rushing. The location, decor and setup are fantastic for a historic feeling experience but the real highlight was the knowledge, enthusiasm and friendliness of all the staff we encountered. Through work I stay in hotels a lot, usually the four star business variety, and what made this stay completely different was the welcoming feel making us feel special there as opposed to often being left feeling like a nuisance to staff at the other hotels. I really can not recommend the Burgh Island Hotel enough. One thing I would recommend is if you go for the black tie dinner choosing a night with the small band as this was more fun and lively. For our second night we ate in the Pilchard Inn, part of the hotel, and the food, although less fancy than the restaurant, was fantastic too and such a lovely quaint old fishing inn inside.

Everything about the stay was outstanding. From the attentiveness of the staff - not too much, and not too little - to the food, to the general ambience, and to everything else, it was just what we wanted and needed. Loved it.

Stunning location, fabulous example of Art Deco , decadent, stylish what’s not to love! Great options for dining and fantastic food.

Step back in time and be pampered. Such a lovely experience in a stunning building with excellent staffing. Lots of little things that made the stay so easy and relaxing. A little expensive but perfect as a celebratory treat. Loved it.
