Pulita, personale disponibile anche se solo il manager sapeva un po’ di inglese, vicina a mercato e ristoranti. Comoda ai servi bus che ti portano dove vuoi Colazione più che altro orientale ma personalmente a me è piaciuta molto

Hotel centrale nel quartiere Shio vicino ai punti della città. Quasi tutto entro 3km.

Finestre esposte al sole non isolate da tapparelle adeguate. Quando sorge il sole si riscalda tutta la stanza. Colazione totalmente inadeguata. Mancanza di dolci freschi e colazione "europea" . Colazione orientata principalmente verso il tipo asiatico.

Good location for covering a lot of Kyoto sites, seeing places by foot. Buses close on Shijo Dori Nearest subway at Shijo or Hankyu-Omiya station Positives Room very clean Everything in that one needs Everything worked well Mattress very comfortable and bedding excellent Quiet – reasonable sound proofing Good quality tea making equipment good quality Sufficient plugs Reception staff exceptionally friendly Staff ability to speak English is supported with translation machines Free popcorn in the evenings All sorts of free toiletries available Breakfast Japanese and European available Great range of high food for a small hotel Own kitchen and cooking staff for making food Varied a little daily Very clean and tidy Further information Travelling by taxi to/from the hotel to/from Kyoto Station costs 1500 Yen, plus 300 Yen if you order the taxi beforehand. Lots of taxis available at the station. Travelling on the subway requires cash for either the day pass (1100 Yen/ Pers) or single journeys (220 – 300 Yen depending on distance) Bus 207 goes from X to the YY. Get there before 8.30 hrs otherwise you will be overwhelmed by the crowds of school children and tourist groups Check beforehand which days the Kaiserpalast is open (varies depending on official visitors). Well worth a visit with an excellent English guided tour at 10hrs and 14 hrs. Entrance free. Tour cannot be booked, just turn up. Botanical gardens – really worth a visit away from the bustle of the city centre – rose garden, rare plants in the conservatory, 70 sorts of bamboo.

Everything about the hotel was lovely

The only thing that was missing was somewhere to put your clothes. I like to unpack when on holiday and not live out a suitcase
