I have visited Chesterfield for business a few times and have stayed a few hotels in the area towards the west. I decided to give this Marriott a try and was glad I did. The hotel is located just off the highway, but not right on it like so many of the hotel properties west of here where you hear the trucks rumbling during the night. It is in the Maryville campus area in a quiet area with ample parking outside or in a parking garage right next to the hotel. The lobby was spacious and lively at night with the bar/restaurant. They had a nice touch with free water bottles in the lobby. Yes, the hotel rooms, hallways, gym, etc. are dated and can be updated. The mattress was a little on the soft side as were some of the pillows as they lacked some fluff. But still made for a decent night sleep and quiet overall with low noise coming from the hallway, adjacent rooms and outdoors. However, I would wake up early a few mornings and took me a couple of days to realize my room was adjacent to the lounge kitchen, and I'd smell oatmeal coming through. Not ideal but I guess it was just that room that would get that. The lounge was a good size with a bunch of seating options. Food options were ok, but I always like the option to have the lounge from breakfast than having to find a Starbucks or Panera for breakfast. The gym was a decent size - better than your typical small gym at a Courtyard or other Bonvoy properties in that class I'd be happy to come back here and stay during my next business trip in the area..
