"Lovely place and people, but not built for a comfortable night in hot weather"

7.0

The rooms looked lovely and was well presentes. The staff were very friendly upon arrival and were helpful. The cooked breakfast was lovely and couldnt fault it at all.beds were nice and comfy and the patio was lovely ro sit out on and overlook thw beauriful gardens

I would have prefered if they has a small fridge in the room. There is a joint fridge by the pool for everyone to use, but we travelled with a baby and during to a heatwave so was back and forth a lot to put things in or take things out. The fans provided also werent very powerful and werent giving much of a breeze at all. Its not very often that its hot enough to need fans in the UK, but it would be nice on this occasion as it was very hard to sleep as the rooms have no windows or ventilation, just the patio doors at the front of the property which is also the only way in out so you want to keep it shut at night for security purposes. The twin bed room at the back was like a sauna and the fan was not pushing any air out whatsoever to attempt to cool it down. Definately a small investment that would make all the difference for them hot nights. The last point is the shower. It was almost impossible to get the shower to a comfortable tempterature. I found it was either scorching hot or freezing cold with no inbetween. I ended up having cold showers which wasnt the worst thing in the heat but it was a bit too cold to be enjoyable.

"Nice, but a bit of thought and investment would make it great."

8.0

The location was great, close to our meeting point for our car tour, but far enough away to be in the countryside rather than on a main road. Our garden Pod was well equipped and of a good standard. The swimming pool and hot tub facilities offered were great value for money.

The lack of a path from our Pod to the main house meant that we got wet feet every time. The wifi did not extend to our garden Pod so we could not watch F1 coverage and films as planned. As we were locked out of the main house after 7pm, we could not use the house wifi either. Small things that could make this an excellent stay, yet created frustration and disappointment for us in the moment. The wet weather precluded us from using the pool or hot tub (not much you could do about that).

"A Magical Place to Stay"

10.0

The property and grounds are absolutely stunning. We stayed in Half Moon Cabin. There are three acres of incredible garden to enjoy with good distance between the cabin, the main house and the other accommodation in the garden. We had privacy, peace and quiet and a really relaxing stay. Surrounded by nature but close to everything if you want to go into Christchurch..The plunge pool and hot tub are really lovely. We used them both and had them to ourselves both times. The staff are really lovely and breakfast was great. A real gem of a place.

"We had a lovely relaxing stay"

10.0

The house and gardens were beautiful. Friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Very homely feel and a little bit quirky with fun art and furniture.

Smell from the farm when the wind was blowing in a certain direction but being from the countryside we weren’t that bothered
