The Cedar House Boutique B+B is just that. It's set in a large grounds, feels like you are in the middle of the country, quiet and hidden away, yet you are quite near Christchurch, beaches like Sandbanks, and it feels wonderful. The room we were in, in the Pavillion is a little walk from the house, in the gorgeous grounds, and has two parts to it, the main bed/bathroom, and the sitting area which is in a domed, cave-like section. It was fascinating to look over from the bed, and see the domed ceiling. I loved our stay. And I haven't mentioned the pool, (small for splashing, heated), sauna, incurs a heating cost which was not too arduous, and the jacuzzi.

The only thing I wish was in the room would be a small fridge for milk. Apart from that, we had everything we could need, including two different tvs.

Housekeeper not sure on parking, didn’t confirm allergies with any real confidence to cater for gluten and dairy free, dirty, very tired rooms and decor

We stayed in the half moon cabin Could not get the shower to work and the bath was of an awkward design

The staff at breakfast were nice and friendly,service was quick and breakfast was good . Lovely gardens and there was parking The owner was nice and friendly and offered us an alternative room .

Check in was not good ,no clear direction of where to go on arrival. The pavilion rooms were on first appearance nice but that's where it ended , they were dirty ,dusty ,mould on curtains and in the door runners of the sliding door . The place was tired and needed decorating,it could be really nice Floor board by bed appeared broken Furniture not been moved so it could be cleaned behind and cushions not cleaned nder The bathroom was clean but drainage from the shower was slow .. We did move rooms and it was better but I cannot express enough how tired the place was . Lovely gardens but needed tidying the patio needed weeding . Not value for money and photos on websites very deceiving . Lamp shade broken and main light one of the candle bulbs was broken .

Good location, lovely breakfast, room was massive and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was fine. It does look a little tired, but still a lovely stay.

It was dirty .Curtains hanging off the curtain rail so they did not draw properly.No window to open just patio doors that you would not want to leave open all night Bedside electrics. were flickering and not working properly and then blew so no bedside tables to turn on and a concern as well . The dining area used for breakfast was not very clean .Tatty lamps ,dusty and not enough tables so we had to share a table with other guest for breakfast . Our room was in the garden and the small patio area was in need of a good sweep . The pool in the garden is very small .Ok for a dunk not a swim . I feel the photos shown on Booking .com are very old and definitely not true to how the accommodation is now
