Marriott Savannah Riverfront

Fabulous location, staff was pleasant, clean and overall great quality.

With the price of the room, I thought parking would be included. I think $45 a night is outrageous. Additionally, breakfast was not included, which I thought would have also been.

Our room was Extremely loud. We could hear all the noise from the hotel We were woken up every hour by the noise. Our view was AC units

I loved our room. We had a balcony with Riverfront View! I loved seeing the ships coming into the port, looking at the people walking by and most of all just looking out at the Savannah River. It was very peaceful!

There was nothing that we did not like. Well, maybe the breakfast at the hotel could be a little better.

Location and view

The water was off in the morning. Never experienced that a hotel before. When water was back on it was dirty. Staff wasn't willing to compensate for inconvenience.

We had a couple of items missing in our room and the phone did not work. But Stephanie in the concierge lounge was so kind and awesome!!

It was a very nice stay but for that price having breakfast at the hotel was ridiculously priced and it was horrible. The coffee was cold. It was mud and I spent a lot of money for breakfast and it was not even edible

This stay was not one I have grown to expect from Marriott. Before I arrived, the type of room shown in my app said I would be getting a riverfront view. I was looking forward to that room option. Upon arrival, I got a view of the roof/parking lot. The staff didn't know the reason (claimed it was because of the conference room rate) for the change and offered a $15 voucher but since it was conference I had no reason to eat or drink at the hotel. My bathroom door(Room 403) had holes all around the door handle. I'd expect that type of atmosphere in a motel six but not Marriott. Also, the shower curtain liner was very flimsy. Every time I showered, the tub would fill with water even though the drain was not closed. I'm guessing it has slow drainage. One last thing and very important, no matter how low I turned the ac down at night it never was cold in the room. Very hot and stuffy! Another guest on the same floor claimed the same issue and we are assuming the hotel is overriding the thermostat.

The Marriott Riverside Hotel is everything I expect from a Marriott. The property is well maintained and a perfect walking distance from the riverside action. The check-in was fast, the room has been upgraded and has a great modern design. We both breakfast and a light lunch and both where absolutely great. Service was spotless everywhere and team members very friendly and engaged. Gym needs a little love but perfectly fine. We highly enjoyed our stay and fully recommend this property.

It was our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff were wonderful to us. Our first night we ate dinner at the Hotel, I had shrimp and grits, my favorite. The chef, sorry I forgot his name, it was a Bible name though, made the best shrimp and grits I ever had. The room was clean, plenty of towels. The river view from the balcony was superb. The concierge was very helpful. Everything was perfect. The coffee was good too.

Being in our 80's not able to do all that was available to us.
