Marriott Savannah Riverfront

The location was great and right by the riverfront.

The location was perfect. The concierge helped us find the perfect spot for dinner with amazing food and a great kids menu in walking distance.

Honestly there are no critiques. I would stay there again.

Was a bit worried about my recent stay as reviews for this property are so mixed. However, I would say my experience was good. We had booked a 2 queen room but really only needed 1 bed so we were upgraded to a Riverfront king. The room was very spacious. The carpet was a bit worn and you could tell that they had renovated at some point but still, I think it was fine. Probably the only issue with our room was you have to hold the knob on the toilet down for it to flush. Lol We did have breakfast in the hotel.. opted for the buffet which was good. About $27 per person. We were going to go to the pool but it wasn’t very clean so skipped it. I’ve been to Savannah a few times and stayed at various Marriott properties. This one is basically at the end of the riverwalk so you it’s a hike if you want to get to restaurants and stuff. While I didn’t have any issues, I probably wouldn’t stay again just because I enjoy being in the mix of it all 😊

The accommodations I asked for was not available ( a King bed) when we arrived, the front desk did offer a king bed for two nights but it wasn’t available for the third night so we just excepted the two queen beds

The location is great! The lobby area is beautiful.

For the price charged for a one-night stay, we expected more value and a higher level of cleanliness and service. We were disappointed that neither breakfast nor parking were included. The refrigerator in the room barely cooled, and there was trash left in the wastebasket upon arrival. The shower grout appeared to have black discoloration that may have been mold, and the room had a damp odor when we entered. Additionally, the pool was dirty and filled with leaves, making it unappealing to use.

Stephanie in Concierge lounge for the morning breakfast is an incredible person. She goes out of the way to help hotel guests. Evening light fares should include some vegetarian choices.
