Sonesta ES Suites St. Louis - Chesterfield

We reserved three rooms at Sonesta Suites St. Louis during a difficult time for our family. Upon arrival, the rooms were in separate buildings and all three were in unacceptable condition—strong smoke odor in “non-smoking” rooms and visible insects. We reported this immediately and checked out within 15 minutes without using the rooms. The front desk acknowledged the issues and directed us to Expedia for a refund. However, the hotel ultimately refused to approve it, resulting in charges for three unusable rooms for four nights, in addition to the cost of relocating elsewhere. This reflects a serious failure in both basic standards and accountability. We cannot recommend this property and are disappointed in the lack of resolution.

The location of the facility.

Being able to get 3 beds is always a plus

The manager Dahali and Ali the front desk clerk wasn't the nicest or the most helpful. Our first room had stained blood on the bed skirt and blood beside the toilet. When I tried to address the issue with Ali he was rather rude. He told me he just works the front desk he doesn't know what housekeeping does or if they even clean. I asked to be transferred to a different room and he said there wasn't any and he didn't know what to tell me other than call back on Monday. I was there with my mother and two children. It was unsanitary.

Great size… loved the separated rooms and 2 bathrooms. Lots of TVs … good location and parking was good! Good breakfast with lots of options!

Chairs and couch were dirty and had broken pieces… floors were dirty. Dishes were in the dish washer when we arrived but were not clean.

Location.

It was not clean and room smelled like someone was smoking inside of it.

Though I did not like that there wasn’t many stores within waking distance. The suite is about an 8-10 min drive from all local stores/restaurants which is really nice.

I didn’t like that the room was hard to find the building labels on the building were hard to see.

The location. My room was dirty and bed was full of hair from someone else. Staff and manager was rude
