Sonesta ES Suites St. Louis - Chesterfield

Good breakfast. Good location. We had a 2 bedroom loft that was perfect for our needs. Roomy and bright.

Absolutely not like the pictures in the add at all, balcony had nowhere to sit and was barely even a balcony. It was no where near how nice the pictures and add made the room sound. Could hear everything outside the room (lots of people coming and going)

During my stay, I experienced several serious issues that made the visit extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. First and most concerning, the hot and cold water in the shower did not work properly at all. The water would only come out either ice cold or scalding hot—there was no in-between. One of the children in our group was actually burned by the boiling-hot water, which is completely unsafe and should never happen in a hotel. On top of that, parking was a major problem. Several vehicles had clearly not been moved for three or more days, leaving no available spaces for guests actually staying at the hotel. As a result, I had to park far away and walk across a dark, unfamiliar parking lot by myself. As a female traveling alone, this made me extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Additionally, the TV in our room did not work, and the entire upstairs loft area was unusable aside from the bed because nothing else in that space functioned properly. For the price of this stay, these issues were beyond disappointing. Overall, the combination of safety hazards, lack of functioning amenities, and poor guest accommodations made this stay far below acceptable standards. I am requesting that these concerns be addressed immediately.

*DO NOT STAY HERE!!!* I wish now, we would have tried to get our money back and found a different hotel. We were here for 5 days/4 nights. I have never stayed in a hotel as dirty as this place. The areas where there was tile, the floors were sticky and when we cleaned them with a rag, they were black! The couch looked as though something criminal happened as it appeared to be dried blood on the front. They put a cover on it in attempt to cover it up. The blinds were shredded. The ceiling fan didn't work (light would never shut off) and there was so much dirt it was clearly visible just looking up. The kitchen would be a nice thing to have, but there is nothing to use. No plates, silverware, pans, etc. I guess you had to bring your own. We also arrived around 10pm our first night and there were approximately 12 cars in the parking lot that were completely covered in black covers and a large object stinking 3-4 feet in the middle of the car. I have never seen anything like that before. It was very eerie! Come to find out, it was Apple Maps survey crews, but don't you think a heads up at check in would have been nice? The individuals that staffed the front desk were rude and not helpful. Only positives of this place, the beds were comfortable and the layout is nice for a family. This place needs a complete remodel and major customer service training! I will NEVER stay at any Sonesta property again. If you are thinking of staying here, don't! Please don't!
