Hyatt Regency Rochester

I would not recommend this Hyatt location. As a Hyatt Globalist, the experience fell well below brand expectations. Staff appeared disengaged and unprofessional, with little awareness of Globalist benefits despite multiple interactions. Billing issues occurred even after discussing them directly with the front desk, which added unnecessary frustration. The breakfast was particularly disappointing—poor quality and poorly presented. The breakfast room itself felt neglected: visibly dirty in areas and clearly outdated, with décor that looks unchanged for decades. Overall cleanliness and upkeep did not align with Hyatt standards. This property feels tired, understaffed, and poorly managed. There are far better Hyatt options elsewhere, and this location does not reflect the quality or consistency the brand typically represents.

The bathroom was in slight disarray with the wallpaper visibly peeling, the vanity broken - it was working though, it was a cosmetic issue. There were three tiny pillows on a king sized bed and when I called to request two more it was as if it was an imposition to the staff. The check in/out staff do not say hello or can I help you, at one point someone said 'next.' The lobby is FREEZING to the point where all the staff were wearing winter jackets. The worst part.... the walls are PAPER THIN. I literally heard my neighbors full conversation CLEARLY like I was in the same room with them.

Way overpriced for what the rooms are worth. Walls are paper thin. Heard noice all night. From the neighbors slamming doors and people on the floor above dropping things on the floor we didn’t get any sleep. The hotel is beautiful, it’s so sad they don’t take care of the rooms.

Overall hotel is nice. Rooms could use tending to a bit more throughly by housekeeping. Dusting, attention to detail… etc

The hotel in general was freezing. The atmosphere was fine. Room was clean. Not enough Hooks for towels. Front Desk and staff at our group meals was very good. I was excited to have the pool to myself one evening, but it was very cold.

This poor tired hotel is struggling. I get the impression that when there are no conventions, there is no business. The place is cold and dirty and the staff seems to always be in panic mode.

The advertised price for breakfast was $15.99, we were charged $18.99. Also, parking garage advertised at $15.00 per night but charged $20.00.

All the staff were excellent, especially the bar staff , very welcoming and attentive, the front desk looked after every need Clean and tidy and food excellent

The room was damp as we couldn’t open the windows and the AC was very noisy also having the sink and mirrors not in the bathroom was very inconvenient and a very bad design, there is room in the bathroom to put this so not to disturb your partner . Not having the coffee shop open long enough so had to walk out to find one as the coffee on offer in the breakfast was very poor
