The Cheshire

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Cheshire St. Louis was one of the highlights of our visit to St. Louis and the perfect way to begin our nine-day Midwest road trip. We stayed in the James Bond Suite, which was much larger than expected and tastefully themed. The décor celebrated the iconic spy without feeling over-the-top, and the suite provided plenty of space to relax after a day of sightseeing. What surprised me most, however, was the hotel itself. The moment we walked into the lobby, it felt like we had been transported to England. From the stained-glass windows and rich woodwork to the cozy sitting areas and British-inspired décor, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and incredibly inviting. The location is excellent for exploring St. Louis. Forest Park is just minutes away, the Delmar Loop is nearby, and downtown attractions—including the Gateway Arch—are an easy drive. We also appreciated the complimentary parking and the continental breakfast each morning before heading out to explore. One afternoon we relaxed by the outdoor pool in a private cabana, which made the stay feel more like a boutique resort than a city hotel. As a travel photographer, I found myself taking nearly 80 photos around the property because there were beautiful architectural details and inviting spaces everywhere I looked. If you're looking for a hotel with character, charm, and a unique atmosphere, I highly recommend The Cheshire St. Louis. It's more than just a place to stay—it becomes part of the overall travel experience. We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to trying another one of the hotel's themed suites on a future visit.

I loved the hotel decor itself and the pool.

in my room there was dust/dirt in the small space next to the sink that had sharp plastic in it. (room 213). also under the chair in the room. Rugs smelled a bit musty. Overall it was clean.

Called to make a reservation and got an AI that could not help. Kind of disappointing. Went directly through the front desk and received amazing service from Emil(e) and Sherri. The stay was comfortable and in an enjoyable neighborhood with plenty to do and see.

We stayed because it was near our destination Will never make that mistake again.

Old tired and poorly maintained. Black molds in our clogged bathroom sink drain.

I love the idea of it. I loved the art on the walls. If you were there early for breakfast, the potatoes were AMAZING. I loved the lounge couches at the pool.

The room was so dark. Pillows were terrible. Only two coffee pods that weren't decaf. Only two creamers in the room. One of our towels had brown stains on them when we arrived. The air didn't work until I went to the desk and made them aware. It worked after I told them but night 1 was pretty miserable. Then we realized the windows in the room were broken.
