Central location. comfortable bed and quiet location. Helpful staff.

The bedroom windows couldn't be opened because they had recently been painted over. Fortunately the night was cool but in summer it would have been very hot and stuffy. There was no Muesli or yogurt for breakfast. though the scrambled eggs were OK. There were no staff there overnight, though there was an emergency telephone number. The bar shut before 10 pm so we had to go to another pub for a drink after the concert we had attended in the town.

No parking in a town with exploitative on street parking rates.

Check in was a phaff but think it was them having a new system. Eventually realised they could give us our room and sort their systems out later. Breakfast starts at 8.30 which was good for us. Dannie had to do everything so be patient.

The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped, Bed was comfy and although the room was next to a busy road we were never disturbed by traffic. All staff were pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was good quality and an adequate size. Could probably be improved with a breakfast menu, when you first come down on day one if there's no one around its a bit confusing, there's only one staff on duty and she's taking orders and cooking. Room for improvement.

The Pub downstairs is in my opinion in need of an upgrade although I understand it has recently changed hands,so wait and see. We were not impressed with the one evening meal we had, very basic. Perhaps the biggest drawback is parking, there is room at the rear for two cars, otherwise it's the public car park at the back of the pub but it's pricey if your leaving the car for a long period. I guess there's nothing they can do about this.

Helpful staff. The manager even rang me to let me know that my bag had been collected by the baggage transfer company. Magnifying mirror in the room
