John Hand Club Hotel

Could not have had a better experience! The room was beautiful and very clean, the staff so kind and accommodating and the neighborhood it was located in was great!

Very accommodating to myself and my daughter. She spent her wedding night their and they let me have someone bring their luggage and check them in for me earlier before the wedding and they secured her wedding dress and his tux until I could pick it up the next morning.

What a hidden gem, I actually don’t want to make a big deal about it because I don’t want others to find it. In all seriousness, a very classy, comfortable, and enjoyable place. A classic building with a bit of a modern flare. When we checked in, the customer service representative was absolutely wonderful. She was genuine and helpful, and even walked us to the elevator and held it for us. We will be staying here from now on when we are doing anything inside the city limits of Birmingham.

This was our first time staying at John Hand. What a neat idea for a boutique hotel!! The suite room was just right--everything that you needed in a hotel room, but nothing ostentatious. We just loved the decor and the fixtures in the room, and the common area. Bed was really comfortable, and the HVAC system, while a bit loud, did a great job keeping the room at the right temperature. The bathroom was just right--the zero entry shower was very handicap accessible, if that is a need. The water pressure was phenomenal. The only drawback was the noise of the passing traffic on 1st Ave N. Another really nice feature of the hotel is the parking arrangement--you always have your own parking and it is convenient. We will definitely stay here again.

Love this place. So unique. Quiet. Private. Very safe. All details were considered in the design of the rooms. Love the brass fixtures in the bathroom and the incredible water flow and pressure in the shower. Waterfall-esque. Great and balconies mattresses, too.

We needed to stay in Birmingham for a film festival we were attending. This sweet hotel was so on point!! Gracious front desk attendants, thank you Jasmine and Carlton!! Housekeeping so gracious, and property so lovely. Such attention to detail. Down to the umbrella in the closet. Close to great restaurants and a Concierge room for coffee and drinks. Would return in a minute.
