I-Link Hostel & Cafe Shimanami

Staff are very nice

We needed somewhere to stay while cycling the Shimanami Kaido and this one seemed to be in an ideal location, close to the blue line. The property was highly organised, very clean and well appointed were well provided for.

I had not realised that our accommodation was not entirely separate from others - a gap at the top, a concertina door and thin walls made me concerned that our elderly nightly ‘purring’ may impact our neighbours! I’m sorry if that was the case! Perhaps my fault for not interpreting clearly the information provided. The lack of breakfast provision was a pity as dinner in the evening was excellent. There are not many options to eat in this part of the world apart from the convenience stores. A simple breakfast in house would have been welcome.

Really original take on the biker's hoster. Was fun to stay there.

You will need a smartphone every time you have to get in the structure. Not so practical.

3泊以上の容量のスーツケースはロッカーに入らない点は注意が必要。

施設が新しく非常に清潔、食事が一流ホテル級。 雨天でのライドであったため、洗濯機と乾燥機があったのも助かった。

サイクリングで日焼けしていたので、化粧水や乳液があると良かった。 コンセントのUSBが1.5Aのため、今後出てくる最新型のスマホでは充電できないケースが発生する可能性有り、貸出用のPD対応充電器などの用意があるといいかもしれない。

Chambres confortables. Les lits sont bien isolés les uns des autres.

別料金でしたが夕食は大変美味しかったです。

構造上やむを得ない点ですがエアコン調整が部屋ごとにできないため、夜間肌寒く、喉がカラカラになりました。ベッドが私には硬かった。

Tout était parfait

The island is beautiful. The food was good!

It is very noisy at night as the rooms aren’t real rooms and more like plots in a storage unit. Our room was next to the door to the dorm so it was opening and closing frequently until 11pm. The hostel had little atmosphere. The bar closes at 8pm. You have to decide if you are eating dinner at the restaurant as soon as you arrive which feels slightly annoying after a long cycle. No breakfast available.

Spotless, good mid-way point for cycle route and comfortable “rooms”

The place had a weird energy - staff seemed off!Common area wasn’t very inviting - there were just lots of rules about what you could do there and it was off limits during the times you might want to be there most.
