The Clarendon Hotel

Lovely mature hotel, staff very attentive, rooms and facilities delivered clean and well prepared. Did not dine at Hotel. Very well located for both Morecombe and Heysham explorations. Highly recommended, we will stay here again, more exploration of both area and dining opportunities.

This hotel needs some TLC especially the bedrooms. Our room was depressing. Wallpaper peeling off & needed a lick.of paint. Toilet seat wobbly. The view from the room was awful back of the hotel . Scruffy. We didn't have breakfast as we had heard how poor it was. The only good thing it was clean in the room. The bed was comfortable. Close to beach & the venue we were attending. In future will book a b&b

We booked last minute the receptionist was great and said she wouldn’t charge for the dog because of the room. We don’t own a dog and this was before we saw the room. The bed as a spring stick up. I slept on top of the quilt but I could still feel it we went to reception before leaving but it wasn't open. The room didn’t reflect the price the breakfast was less than impressive it was cooked fine, we’re well travelled. The bathroom window had been boarded up the main window is facing a brick wall once the doors closed it’s an oppressive room 4. The weather was lovely, inside the room you wouldn’t have guessed. Morecambe is well worth a day visit you’ll need the opposite side of the bay for some R and R.

We came to Morecambe for the scooter event,5 girls so we wanted to be together.We booked the appartment that is the top floor of the hotel. Brilliant location, cost and free parking.Clean and comfy bed ,appartment did the job.Take your own soap and toiltries as none supplied.Classic seaside hotel.Fantastic Karoke bar downstairs,cheap beer too!

Seaview, comfortable and clean. Bar closed at 10.00, breakfast ok. Would stay again. Good local taxi service and bus used.

A tired place that would benefit from a visit from the hotel inspector. Room was clean but basic. Shower wasn't great and breakfast was really done on the cheap. Didn't get a good nights sleep as people were sitting outside below making a noise that came through what I thought was double glazing and bed wasn't comfortable. Worst porridge I've ever had!

Hotel is ok, if a little basic. No restaurant although there are plenty of places within a walk. It does have a bar but the Davy Locker bar next door is open later and has much better choice. Staff were excellent - the breakfast however is something to avoid

Nice and clean for an old building. Hassle free online booking polite staff on reception. Clean room. WiFi in room. I will use again.

We couldn’t even check in, the doors were locked and no one answered the doorbell or the phone when we called. We had to go another hotel.

Poor customer service, on arrival at hotel the receptionist didn’t even stand up from her chair to greet us, had no knowledge of the area when asking any details, not a good start. Our room was fantastic overlooking the sea, minor issue of shower head not being able to be raised or adjusted but everything else was fine. Breakfast service was strange, no one to welcome you or explain what to do had to do, you had to find out for yourself, although the cooked breakfast was very tasty.
