Blackwood House

Friends get together, and a perfect setting for it. Exactly as described, plenty of Crockery, cutlery, glasses, cups, mugs for eleven people. Plenty of good linen and showers are great. Great indoor and outdoor areas for socialising.

Enjoyed it. The backterras was great. Loved the coffee machine.

The steps should have hand rails. They are very short. Being elderly, I found them scary. Even with little ones, I could not recomend the property.

Location, number of bedrooms (although some were quite small and others large, comfortable living/meals area.

Although we enjoyed the old style house, it needs some work re painting, updating of bathrooms. Also problems with coffee pod machine and short supply of coffee pods. Lucy the hostess rectified that upon request, but unfortunately the second machine was not user friendly.

Loved the location. The house is old but has lovely old world charm. Great place to stay with friends.

Nothing really

There is not much availability to accommodate larger groups in the area - in particular when everyone needs their own bedroom. The House was perfect for a group of 7 for self-catering. The outdoor area is great and enough parking for everyone. Walking distance to the main shops and restaurants.

There was no problem or apparent negative with the house. Given we were working it was a little difficult to spread out that everyone could sit down at a table. The wifi had trouble sometimes to have 7 people log on at the same time.

Beautiful old home with so much character. We loved the open fireplace made the living room so cozy. Plenty of rooms and had everything we could need there. Great location close to town

Some of the beds were a little hard.

Lucy, the property owner, reached out both during and after our stay to ensure we were satisfied with the accommodation and to check if we needed anything further. The property was lovely and comfortable, with the added convenience of being within walking distance to the main street, where shops and cafes are located.
