Blackwood House

Beautifully clean and had everything we needed.

We were a group of seven friends looking for a relaxed weekend where we could enjoy good food in great company which Blackwood House allowed. We could all have our own room and sleep well. The outside verandah was lovely and the coffee machine for the early morning necessity, perfect. Lucy’s communication just made our stay easy and very enjoyable - thank you.

If I had to say something: the water pressure in the shower in the main bathroom but we could just use the ensuite if needed.

Great location and rich history and character to the house. Beautiful and cosy countryside home with a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Host was very accommodating and responded quickly to all my requests, even those from my family members. We all had a good time here. House was cleaned up very well. Historical place but maintained good as well. Ample amount of rooms and gracious host.

A good sized house to allow us to stay together

One of the heater vents didn’t work but we used soil heater. Could have been a bit cleaner.

Lovely older house with 7 bedrooms. Delightfully set up, wonderfully warm and lots of space to have time alone or with the group.

We left a note for Lucy, which I hope she found(on hall table) where we indicated that there is an urgent need for a rail on the wall next to steps down to kitchen. Steps are steep and narrow so a grab rail on the left, near fridge, is a real safety need. We are an older group and found the stairs a hazard. But so easily fixed, and inexpensive.

The outdoor BBQ facilities could be better!?

Very cosy and we all had our own room we had a fire one night and crocheted watched some movies in the lovely lounge We painted portraits of each other that was hilarious in the lovely big kitchen dining area At was just perfect We went to the sanctuary chocolate place any many more Main Street was awesome so many shops to buy pressies and goodies Thank you so much Lucy for making our stay perfect
