Sea Crest Beach Resort

Pros: the beach was beautiful! I thought it’d be too rocky to walk on, but it was beautiful and soft and walkable. The weather was perfect too. The city scape outdoor areas were closed (probably not the season for it yet), but I can see hanging out there in the summer. There was an indoor pool, an arcade, and a spa. We didn’t have time to take advantage of these, which is a shame. I think there could be some good family time spent there The hotel restaurant / bar was on top of it. We were there for a wedding and the venue was perfect for the event. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water was beautiful. The servers for the event were very attentive too. Cons: the hotel is undergoing construction and renovations. We didn’t know that was happening. Not even the wedding party knew until they arrived. Communication could’ve been better. It makes sense because the hallways and rooms were very outdated. Our room itself was not what I expected. There was peeling paint for starters. The fridge wasn’t in the cabinet where a fridge is supposed to go but sitting outside it. There was no microwave. The iron’s retractable cord didn’t lock and kept retracting, which was frustrating as we tried to get ready for the wedding. The toilet couldn’t handle the four of us in the room. I had to go track down a plunger. We requested a double bed room but it was definitely not double queen. I don’t even think they were full sized beds. Also, there were only two pillows on each bed. I had to go request more pillows too. We arrived at 1am, and I didn’t notice at first. But when we got up, there was hair on the shower wall and an empty shampoo bottle that was not the branded ones left on the bathroom sink and provided by the hotel. There was a floor towel neatly folded on the side of the tub. I have no idea how someone from housekeeping could have left that fresh towel and not looked up two feet to where the empty shampoo bottle sat. We were rushing to get ready so I threw it away myself and cleaned up the hair. But it makes me question what else wasn’t clean. We left a do not disturb sign on the door, and received a text each day saying we needed to call the front desk if we wanted our room cleaned. That number is not able to receive texts. You have to actually call the front desk. The number is not the front desk. From a cost perspective, I’m glad we had a group rate. I don’t think it’s worth what the listed website price is to stay here. Perhaps after the updates, it’ll be worth full price.

Our stay at Seacrest Resort in Falmouth, MA was pleasant. From check in to check out our experience was smooth. The room was nice, staff was friendly, and the location was perfect.

Beach was beautiful. Resort is nice & decor very nice, but could use few things to make an excellent stay. Better cleaning of room. Floor was gritty & dirty. Extra towels in room. Bathroom door not properly hinged so kept swinging onto us when standing at sink. Food: Lantern Room has very limited lunch & dinner options. Ate dinner, only one other couple there so not busy, but waiter forgot our appetizers. $38 for steak dish that was served barely warm. Overall still liked this resort.

Nice property right on the beach. Room was spacious and bed super comfortable. Approximately 15 min to drive into town. Did not utilize much of the property but the indoor pool looked nice as well as the onsite restaurant. Staff was pleasant. No elevator in the building we stayed in but it was only one floor up.

I’ve been coming here since 2016 and I come for the balcony with the Ocean front view. My cousin came with me and I had bragged how much I love this place. The two Best parts of our stay was how wonderful and helpful Jackie and Brett at the front desk were ( they went above and beyond Customer Service Expectations) and the view of Silver Beach from our balcony. The cleanliness and upkeep was Very Disappointing. Entering the lobby is a dirty looking huge rug with the name on it. It use to be a beautiful blue, clean rug years ago. The building entrance to our room was filthy. The rugs and the floor had hairballs and covered with salt and sand; same as two years ago. The room had been renovated a little with new paint, toilet, and shower. The floor was disgusting. Sand and salt all on it and in the shower floor. No rugs to wipe your feet (to remove the sand) coming in or out to the balcony. The mattress's were awful and we needed extra pillows to put on top of it in to sleep.The doors needed repairs; wouldn’t close correctly. The balcony floor was dirty, the railing safety plexiglass had white streaks all on it and needed cleaning or replaced. At this point, I wouldn’t call this a resort. I was shocked they charged $25 a night for a “Resort Fee” since there weren’t even lounge chairs out on the beach and the “cleaning staff” only left new towels and sometimes swept the floor. A Resort Fee shouldn’t be charged during off season at all. This facility needs to hire a manager with authority to do a walk through of these buildings and the place needs a “Deep Cleaning”. If you want guests to return, it’s time you put some money into this place. The fees charged do not warrant the experience we received.

I am not one for writing reviews but felt compelled to share my experience with one of the staff members at Sea Crest Beach Resort. My wife and I had visited the resort a few years back when she had mobility issues. We had a great room and 2+ months ago I decided to surprise her for our 30th anniversary for a return visit. When we arrived we found out the room we booked with the reservations people was not the one we spoke about. Emma immediately jumped in and thinking outside the box quickly put a remedy in place. Every day of our stay, Emma went above and beyond to make sure everything from that point forward went smoothly and made our anniversary stay very special. Emma not only showed the professionalism you would expect, but he also added a very real 'human' touch to everything she did. Because of Emma, we hope to now make this an annual trip.
