Hampton Inn - Greenville

Hotel name should be a scene straight out of the Walking Dead series. You know the feeling when you're traveling from point A to point B and fatigue sets in, making you seek out a place to rest for a few hours? Safety first, right? That's exactly what I did with my family on our way down south. We were exhausted and didn't want to push our driving limits any further, so we booked a hotel based on the promising pictures and positive reviews. However, the reality was far from our expectations. Upon entering the room, we were greeted with a sight that was more fitting for a horror movie set than a place to lay our heads. The room was filthy, and the furniture looked like it belonged in a scene from The Walking Dead, complete with bloodstains that made me cringe. I couldn't even think about sitting on the furniture, let alone working on my laptop. Instead, I had to make do by perching on the edge of the bed while answering my work emails. When I brought up the issue with the management, I was surprised to hear that the furniture had just been professionally cleaned. I found that hard to believe, and when she offered to take $10 off my stay, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed. If you ever find yourself traveling through this area, I would strongly advise against staying at this horror house. As for me, I won't be returning to this place again

The shower was dirty. I have enough pillows on the bed and overall. Not a great place to stay.

The room was ok, beds weren’t comfy ..

Nothing special. Remodeling the front area and breakfast nook. Breakfast was okay; the attendant was friendly and efficient. Bed was comfortable. Had to run the shower water a long time to get hot water. We will check out other options next year

This Hampton Inn was in a state of upgrade construction, however I am sorry to say the checkin lady was not happy with her job or something. She was not friendly or helpful at all. The room was average and as we were traveling, we experienced many other hotels that were a better value for the price than this hotel.

The breakfast was good

It smelled like sewage in the lobby, the hallways, and the room. The rooms were not very clean. It was very expensive for what it was. The staff was not helpful at all and rude when we asked why the whole hotel smelled like raw sewage.

All great! Except Expedia did not alert me Of the $75 pet fee… advertisement said “pet friendly’. Nothing like the Expedia hidden charges!!

Staff was exceptionally attentive. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good
