Pierhouse Bed & Breakfast

Great location and wonderful ocean and sunset views! Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour selections. Huge plus they allow dogs to join our vacation. We always enjoy our stays at the Pierhouse! Will definitely be back!

Just me being petty, but the showerhead had really low water pressure, and there was no light in the shower.

The location can't be beat - we could walk to the beach in 1-2 minutes. There are also a couple of restaurants in walking distance and the Avalon Peir, where we saw a great cover band. We were in the Sea Level room and it was quite comfortable, with a separate entrance with a little porch that was great for drinking coffee in the rocking chairs. We could hear a little from the guests upstairs, but not anything out of the ordinary. Also, the parking was fine for our full-size pickup, and we were glad to have a spot just for us. The breakfast is really grab and go cereals, poptarts, yogurt, juices, and whole fruit. It worked just fine for us. We've stayed at some phenomenal B&Bs with gourmet breakfasts, but this wasn't the experience we were expecting at Peirhouse, so we were pleased. Grab your selections and walk over to the beach! And there were plenty of k cups so no shortage of coffee. Other reviewers mentioned critters. We saw some beetles and other bugs, etc. but that is 100% normal for the Carolinas in the summer. I did not see anything in the kitchen. I did see that happy hour was left out overnight, but I also saw the caretaker refresh everything each morning, wash up the dishes, etc. so no concerns from us. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. Check in and check out were super easy and the building is easy to find. I would stay here again when I want a low-key beach trip. We relaxed, ate too much seafood, and got plenty of time on the shore - exactly what we were looking for!

There was no soap in the bathroom, but 4 individual lotions, so they really mean it when the say "some toiletries." There was also exactly 1 roll of TP and 1 towel per person. This is a little too "basic" for a B&B and recommend the caretakers consider at least 2 towels per person and some hand soap.

Nice home and perfect location. House was clean and beds were so so comfortable! My daughter and I enjoyed our stay for our 1st B&B experience.

I have never stayed in a B&B before but I expected more than English muffins, bagels, fruit, cereal, and instant oatmeal for breakfast every morning. It would have been nice to have pancakes, waffles, or even some eggs and toast. Just didn't know what to expect and was a little disappointed considering "breakfast" is in the name. Also, the drain plug did not work properly to be able to use the jetted tub in our room.

It's close to everything. Very cute and comfortable. Very dog friendly!!! Walking distance to restaurants, Beach, and pier.

Stains on the carpet. Room was a little musty.

I saw cockroaches in the kitchen. The breakfast was not enough full of sugar and eggs were rotten (probably because they’re left out for ours) and I saw these exact comments on other reviews but they were old so I thought maybe they changed but nope. Our room smelled cigarettes even though it’s a smoke free house. Room was a little small. Pool is super small too and don’t really have privacy

Very relaxing, with enjoyable setting.

Rollaway bed was not comfortable. Hot water in the bathroom sink, but no hot water in shower.

Location. Swimming pool. Balconies.

The pool was chilly. Maybe a hot tub would be nice to warm up in the future.

We had a pleasant stay. Our room had 2 beds and a sitting area with a full balcony. Continental breakfast had a lot of choices and snacks were always out. I would stay there again.
