The Essex Resort & Spa

So disappointed with the booking process. The website system was not very friendly and somehow despite my best efforts my booking was through a fraudster third party partner of Priceline. Please fix your website or tell people to book only by telephone. The extra $180 fees I paid to the third party spoiled my travel

We were at Essex Resort and Spa for our pre wedding planner meeting with Nicole to go through the timeline and ceremony. We have always enjoyed the friendliness and interest with our stays here. This stay was the best, because all our guest needs were exceeded with staff help. We had the restaurant Junction recommended for its culinary menu. It totally wowed us, and our server Kimberly made it so fun! She explained the choices well, and timed the entree presentation so we had time to relax with our spps and wine. Kimberly is obviously very well versed and has a great attitude for her table service. The Junction is Four Star quality, and our key lime dessert was absolutely perfect! The ambiance of Junction is worth the visit! Kimberly just made our dining s happy time

Marisa in the Lazy Goat was awesome, so bubbly and attentive, we’ll be back because oh her!!

Jack was so helpful with bringing in luggage for the customers! I saw him helping a lady in the snow! Super friendly!! I will definitely be back

We had planned to stay at the Essex for 3 nights, with massages and dinners fully booked. However, a “once or twice in a decade” winter storm cut our stay short after just one night. The staff was so friendly and thoughtful during a weather emergency while juggling displaced guests, multiple on-site events, and forced restaurant closures due to unprecedented cold temps. I can’t thank the team there enough for staying grounded and providing excellent hospitality in an unavoidable bad situation. Not only did they provide world class guest service, they also refunded our bookings. We are already re-booking our trip and, as first time visitors, now plan to come back a few times a year as a regular vacation spot. In our short time there, we tried Junction (amazing) and took advantage of all the spa amenities (perfect). Our room was spotless and cozy and the entire resort has a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back again and again.

Having a really difficult time booking the room again bc of this survey & how the website works. Spouse is sick so have to stay in the same room and having an issue

The elevator was out of order. To reach the room on the 3rd floor, the walk-up via the emergency stairway was less than desirable.

Great hotel overall!
