TownePlace Suites by Marriott Outer Banks Kill Devil Hills

Der kleine Pool war nett und der Übergang zum Strand auch. Das Frühstück war Ok. Leider sogar jedes Besteck einzeln in Plastik verpackt.

Es gab kostenlosen Kaffee aber keine Milch, am Pool wurden die vielen Krümel mehrere Tage nicht entfernt, auch im Aussenbereich könnte mal öfters jemand säubern (eine Weinflasche in einer Tüte und leere Bierdosen lagen die ganze Woche herum), das Personal hat keinen eigenen Raum und mitten im Foyer ihr Meeting abgehalten und jeden Mittag im Frühstücksbereich ihr Essen eingenommen.

Bottom line: Would not stay again. Hotel is not up to Marriott standards and is below par in operations, maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service. Our room: -Upon arrival room was unclean, drawers open, towels with hair on them, dirty floor. -Toilet was running from the beginning of our stay, alleged to be fixed twice, but was not, causing a bathroom catastrophe. -When room was cleaned, we were not apprised they clean early, walked in on the cleaner after breakfast, and had to quickly leave. Trash was left in the room and floor was not vacuumed or swept. Had to call requesting another cleaning. -I asked for manager to call us about our lackluster stay, we were promised as much by front desk, and received no call. Overall: Cons: -Poorly maintained with damaged walls, ceilings, doors, stairs, furniture, amenities, etc. -Dirty with spills and smudges everywhere that seem to linger. Spills on carpet and couches. Windows everywhere are dirty. -They only clean every other day and do a barely passable job. They try to convince you to forego room cleaning. -Staff seem untrained and inexperienced. No management in sight. -Seem to be out of everything all the time: clean towels, luggage trolleys, breakfast items. Pros: -Pet friendly, although this seems to add to the overall dirtiness of the location. They are not equipped to handle animals. -Popular for families, so kids will make friends. -Central location walking distance to beach and restaurants.

Die Lage war OK, das Zimmer sauber, das Hotel relativ neu.

Bei der Ankunft mussten wir lange warten, da die Rezeption nicht !! besetzt war. Und das bei einem Hotel dieser Größe, das geht gar nicht. Sehr ärgerlich. Das Frühstück hätte reichhaltiger sein können, die Servicekraft sprach kaum Englisch. Für den Preis kann man mehr erwarten. Das Studio kommt auf den Bildern größer heraus, als in Wirklichkeit ist.

Pool access not clean

The only reason I booked this hotel was based on the reviews on cleanliness.I have mold allergies and unfortunately our first night was a disaster. Our room was filthy and for sure there was evidence of Mold in the bathroom. First night was an absolute disaster. However the staff and receptionist were very helpful and they moved us to another room the next day. Second room was significantly better but unfortunately still moldy:( We only stayed two nights and will not be returning to this facility.
