Comfort Inn Pine Grove I-81 Hershey Area

When we got there the guy at the counter said "i hope you dont have pets" that should have been my first warning sign. We did so he said I have one room. When we got in the room it immediately smelled of cat pee and cleaning supplies. So much so we debating on leaving and going elsewhere. We stayed because it was too late at night and I pre-booked the room. None of us could sleep because of the odor. The bed had hair on the sheets. The floor was damp and dirty, the bathroom tub had hair in it, rust by the drain, and back ofthe door lock was exposed showing the keycard components. The next morning early, I brought all of it up to the desk person and they were less than surprised. Dirty towels were all in the hallway all night from when we got there into the morning and a smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. For the price I paid I would not go there. I would have rather drove a few hours more south and went to a nicer hotel.

Breakfast food was OK (but I am GF/not celiac so I can't eat most options). The bed was very comfortable. The AC was fully adjustable. I enjoyed the pool, but it needed more care and cleaning (e.g., scrubbing the wall tiles, having more towels available; the patio outside the pool needs weeding). I did not have a bath towel when I checked in but got it from front desk in the morning. My shower was fine (a bit tricky getting the water temperature right) but then I could not turn it off completely. No one was at the desk when I checked out to tell them about that, even after ringing the bell. Otherwise, things were fine, but made me wonder.

Great location. Has an indoor swimming pool with seating inside or out and a fitness center

The swimming pool was closed for maintenance with no warning for half our trip. They ran out of breakfast. The shower in our room just kept dripping (wouldn’t shut off fully) and smelled like chlorine. The bathroom is tiny. The shower kepted switching from hot to cold and wouldn’t stay one temperature.

knob from faucet came off. TV didn't work. They never cleaned the bathroom, but changed the bed sheets. Rooms smelled stuffy

The air conditioning worked well.

The rooms were old, dirty and smelled terrible. Carpet was damp and smelled like urine. There were dead bugs in the bathroom.

Room floor dirty. Half eaten candy bar on floor and floor not vacuumed. Bathroom shampoo and conditioner halfway empty (used)
