A comfortable bed

The main parking lot was closed. Everyone had to walk 40-50 yards to the hotel. No boday was around or available to assist you. The path wasn't clear of ice or snow late into Thursday. I wanted to use the stairs for extra exercise, from the 7th floor on Friday morning. The exit on each end of the floor had access to a small outdoor spot. Signage stating you don't have access to the lobby from here. I choose to find a different hotel for my second night. I would like to get a refund for my stay there. I WOULD NOT have choosen this hotel if I knew these issues first.

The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We liked the option of firm or soft pillows. Melissa, the breakfast waitress, was very cheerful and accommodating to our special dietary needs. The location worked well for us.

I never write reviews, but our experience at this Holiday Inn was so unprofessional and disappointing that it deserves attention. We booked a double queen room, confirmed in advance, and upon check-in we were given a room with one queen bed. When we went back to the front desk, we were told there were no more double queen rooms available. The only alternative they offered was a double full room, which we reluctantly accepted since we had been traveling all day. We even agreed to pay an extra $10 a night for a rollaway bed just to get some rest. When we entered the new room, it was 82 degrees inside. We called the operator, only to be told that half of the hotel’s air conditioning wasn’t working and that our “options” were to open a window or pick up a fan from the front desk. That response was completely unacceptable for a branded hotel like Holiday Inn. We went downstairs again and spoke to the front desk supervisor, who at least attempted to help by offering another room. At this point, we asked to speak with the hotel manager. When he came out, we calmly explained the situation. His response? A dismissive, “Yeah, sorry, nothing we can do.” I asked for his business card, he handed me a generic hotel card. When I asked for his personal card or even his full name, he refused and said his name was “The only Max that worked here”, refusing to provide his last name or any identifying information. When I asked for his employee number, his response was, “Even if I had one, I wouldn’t give it to you.” Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from a hotel manager representing a major brand. After a long day of travel, this was the last thing we needed. Between the incorrect room, lack of air conditioning, and outright disrespectful management, this property completely failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. Do not stay here unless you want to gamble with your comfort and deal with staff who clearly don’t value their guests.

No parking. Breakfast employees were great. Supper employees were very rude.

Parking lot and driveway were closed. Had to walk a block away with luggage. Then the room was infested with ants. Had to change rooms. Not a good experience.
