Centennial Hotel Spokane

The location was wonderful. Loved the big picture window as we could see everything going on in the Riverfront from our room window. Room was spacious & loved having both a fridge & microwave in the room.

The text service for the front desk wasn't always checked timely

I chose to stay at this hotel because of its location. The hotel was clean and the restaurant was convenient. I was charged $15 for overnight parking, which was posted on the hotel website, however, when I checked out in the morning I was charged an additional $35.12 for parking. I have called and left messages twice asking for an explanation of this additional charge. I also emailed twice regarding this extra charge. No one ever responded to my calls or emails. Because of this I will never stay at this hotel again nor do I feel I can recommend this hotel

Great location.. nice view. Clean..

Had to go ask for new towels and coffee daily. They didnt come on their own.. personal preference, but we like a door that closes completely on the bathroom. But I know the barn doors seem popular right now.

The location is beautiful, parking is easy and nice that it was included. The staff was quick to bring up extra hangars and the front desk was really friendly.

When I booked the room months ago, I specifically had requested a room with a river view. I called to confirm the week of AND the day before. Additionally, we booked another room for our graduate/friend stay the next night (before graduation) and had requested a room near ours (didn't have to be next to it but somewhere nearby). Sadly, neither were managed and only when we agreed to switch to a 2-queen bedroom, could they make the river view happen. The other room was placed at the opposite end of the property. I realize it was graduation weekend but down the hallways, in the ice machine room, outside by the doors (tower) and other places were stacked with trash and dishes... for the ENTIRE 4 days of our stay. I didn't discover (until I was in the shower) that there was no body gel and no conditioner! The patio was such a nice feature but it was also filthy and hadn't been swept/mopped in decades, No small table outside, so you had to put your cup of coffee on the dirty floor. The beds were terrible. One had a blanket, no duvet and both were so lopsided (near the side table), we had to place a few pillows on that side so as to not roll out of bed.

Shower was …..weird. It had a half opening with one stationary glass wall and then the opening was wide-open so water could splash out as you showered. Plus there were no shelves to place toiletries or hang wash cloths.

Our room went directly out to the pool, yet we couldn’t swim at night due to the pool being closed. I thought that was silly. And the shower didn’t have a door to shut causing water to go EVERYWHERE

Made a reservation months ago for a conference being held at the hotel. Arrived at 1:30, was told we couldn't check in until 4. Came back at 4 , told rooms wouldn't be ready for a while because of staff shortage. Went to dinner and watched a hockey game at the local sports bar. Came back at 9pm. Was told we would still have to wait as rooms were not ready yet. Found a room across the street at another hotel and cancelled my stay. Front line workers were doing their best in a terrible situation. Management was no where to be found and should have been at the front desk helping and dealing with customers. Management should be ashamed. Won't ever attempt to stay here again. I hope the conference never has one here again. The organizers were aware of the situation.
