Novotel Southampton

The room was “Tired” the Capet was worn and the double bed was too near the wall with little space to leave the bed on the right hand side. The bath/shower was slippy and dangerous, no anti slip mat in the bath/shower. The bathroom door to the room was difficult to manoeuvre around. Value for money was much lower than the lower starred next door Ibis Hotel.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good location

There was nothing to dislike.

It was close to some places to eat the facility was clean and smelled nice

The elevators are very small

Great location and good hotel with the exception of aircon

lack of aircon would stop us booking again in the summer months

Room was a bit dated. Artex on the ceilings Small separate toilet meaning you had to go next door to the bathroom to wash your hands Bath very small and difficult to get in/out off as the shower screen is fixed with a very small portion which is movable One side of the bed is so close to the wall. Quite bizarre when the room itself is big enough to allow more space around the bed.

The rooms are really nice. Clean and the staff are so nice

The hotel is just great through out. The pool and sauna is nice also

Dirty carpeting, especially around the staircase area. Also there was no phone in the room to contact reception. Room service was poor
