Shangri-La Shenzhen

Overall a good hotel. Conveniently located next to the HK border. Nice exercise room and bed is comfortable. Quiet.

Great location with clean rooms. Lobby and rooms are a bit old but of good quality and service. Breakfast is great and best rate if you prepaid the day before if not included in the room. Near LouHu train station which connects well to other parts of China. Nice dim sum restaurants and other food choices at the train station which is a 5 mins walk from hotel thru the tunnel in front. All main attractions in SZ is nearby by train or taxi all within 30 mins of travel. Recommend for first timer to SZ.

Its well located and highly convenient, on the other side for a Shangri-la the staff should be more helpful, example when I arrive to the hotel no one help me to unload the luggage from my taxi, those small things make a huge difference.

The hotel is 33 years old and it needs serious renovation. It doesn’t meet a 5 star rating. I was very disappointed.

We had a wonderful family trip of four, for 4 nights in Shenzhen, and the Shangri-La was the perfect choice for our stay. Its close proximity to the Hong Kong transit Louhu border made it convenient for our two planned day trips into Hong Kong for sightseeing. However, the hotel room could use some upgrades, as certain features, such as the carpets, safe, and electrical connectivity, felt a bit dated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, thanks in large part to the friendly and helpful staff. A special shout-out to Bill, who always greeted us with a warm smile each morning at the lobby/front door. He provided excellent recommendations and genuinely seemed to enjoy his work, which added to our positive experience. We would definitely consider staying here again for a short trip, as the location is incredibly convenient. Thank you!
